Today is D-Day for Kean. Within the next hour we'll know whether he stays or goes.

Quite literally EVERYBODY in Pune close to Desai and most of the people at Ewood are desperately trying to convince her to sack Kean... he's told her if he stays we'll keep Hoilett, Olsson, N'Zonzi, etc and go straight back up... the man's deluded beyond belief but Desai seems stupid enough to believe him.

If she doesn't sack him now he will not leave the club until Venky's do. I have a bad feeling he's going nowhere.

The official word is no decision made.

From what I can gather Venky's are basically assessing whether it would be worth the time, effort and cost to replace him or not. A few calls are being placed to agents etc. Chances are they'll decide it isn't worth the hassle and Kean will retain his job by default.

I think the winner is stooge, seems like he gets most of the flack anyway with the owners getting very little.

If you ask me the football world has gone crazy. It's not the same game I watched growing up and it makes me sad.

Decisions are made strictly for business reasons. Kean is probably a classic example - they got fuck all money, got relegated, owners can't sell. Let some crap manager take the flack while they are in India.

Kean has said nothing since returning (very strange, if he was safe he would have been crowing about it to his friends in the media IMO), Venky's have said nothing, their own ADVISERS don't know what they decided! Nobody at Ewood knows anything. It's absolute chaos, only Venky's could handle a situation like this. They're lunatics.

I do think he's gone, but whether he's got another job at the club is another matter. I was told he's rejected a role at the indian academy Venky's have built... but that's not to say he hasn't been offered a position elsewhere.
