Can somebody please, please, explain to me what Roy did in his time at the club that makes him a "nice guy"?
I can understand why people would call Rafa a "nice guy", given his concern for community causes, his affinity with fans.
I can understand why people would call Kenny a "nice guy", given he and his wife's charity work.
What exactly has Roy done that is even remotely "nice"?
Sorry, I hate to rake over the past, but I just wish football fans would stop spouting cliches, whether they be Liverpool conceding goals through zonal marking, Gerrard's best position being in the centre, or Roy Hodgson being a nice bloke. People should work based on evidence, not on hand-me-down press wisdom. What has Hodgson said or done to make him nice? He was a damp blanket over fan action to get the last owners out (saying it was "just one of those thing you had to deal with" in an interview), he picked on young players after for defeats, he blamed everyone but himself. And when in doubt, he talked shite about Rafa.
