RIP Benny - One of the first regular positive black youths on TV.

He'll be answering that eternal question - Should he play for the school or county

RIP Benny. So sad. The first kid to appear in the first episode. Benny and Tucker were always the lads I wanted to be.

RIP Benny lad  :'(

Also remember him in the 'The Firm' with Gary Oldman. Think he got cut up on an away day by the Birmingham crew.

On a lighter note, check out the teacher knuckle rap on tuckers head at 7:45 in the video.  Funny as fuck. Imagine doing that nowadays!!!

Good film that, watched it again the other day. Can't stand the usual hooligan films about football but The Firm does a good job.
At last the TRUTH 26th April 2016

Ahh man.  George Armstong has died aged 60.  Following a long battle with Leukemia.

George played Tucker's mate Alan Humphries and was one of the original cast members.

I really feel a twinge of sadness when I see Grange Hill characters from my day pass away.  Once innocent kids now old men with horrible diseases and suchlike   :(

I remember watching the early seasons of Grange Hill in the late 90's on Sunday mornings on BBC 2.

It was a Sunday morning show that had clips of Dennis Pennis on it as well.
"Since its purchase by the sheikh of Abu Dhabi, Manchester City has managed to cheat its way into the top echelon of European football and create a global, immensely profitable football empire, ignoring rules along the way. The club's newfound glory is rooted in lies."

"Flippin 'eck Tucker"

I say this to my youngest when i don't want to use the phrase "for fucks sake".  Was only 3 weeks back when i explained where the phrase came from whilst we were trotting around London.
