Nah, I think Jorginho and Kante will win the midfield. If the rest step up it’s going to be some game.
Normally a player can look great on tubes, but one of the things that's encouraging for me is just the amount of youtube videos on him

They will practically need a whole new attack next summer as Morata is atrocious and Willian and Pedro are not that effective. Hazard is carrying them and no surprise with his form dropping after an injury that they look blunt.

Hazard will be up for this one, as he has a chance to make an impact against a big side, its Hazard all over. He goes missing for a lot of the other games but his ego can't stand the idea of being outdone by anyone.

That Keeper they spunked £70 million on isn't looking like a world beater, is he?  Let a shot go right through him last night. Flapped at the first goal against Spurs, didn't even bother diving for the second.  Let a couple of soft ones in v Arsenal at the start of the season.

Not a lot seems to be being made of it though.

If City play with the same intentions as they did when they went there last season they'll win. I'll say 2-1 but they could easily score 3 and keep a clean sheet.

So you have doubts about their Kepa?
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Where has he been for the last few weeks when they've been playing the minnows? There is nothing surprising about this it happens a lot, which is why it was such a laugh when they were bigging him up so much at the start of the season.

https://statsbomb.com/2018/11/how-are-kepa-and-alisson-settling-in-england/ This article is a comparison of Kepa and Alisson's starts to the season. Kepa has league average numbers, whereas Alisson is brilliant.

Because in recent history they have had good keepers. So goalkeeping errors isn't something associated with Chelsea. So he's in the spotlight less.

Saw a report that Hazard agreed personal terms for a summer move to Real.

If true then Chelsea are going to have some job finding a replacement for him.

Chelsea won't get top dollar for him with only a year left on his contract in summer.

That depends really, if a few clubs are interested then they could get a decent fee, also the pressure must be on at Real now to do something big after losing Zidane and Ronaldo and not being up to much in the league. Can they wait a season to make a big signing?

In that case, guaranteed he will sign a new deal at Chelsea

They're fucked if he leaves as he is the only quality player they have up front. Pedro & Willian are not as good for what they are looking for anymore, Morata is useless and Giroud is going to be too old and his contract runs out.

What has this disgusting bastard Sarri done to Christensen and Hudson-Odoi? I thought Sarri was a developmental voach? He seems like a budget Mourinho in the way he treats young players.

That was a bit of a freak result at Wolves.  Chelsea should have been 4-5 goals up before Wolves scored the equaliser from a one in a hundred shot.

It was telling how bad Chelsea were though after that goal and they seemed to lack any leadership to grab hold of the game again.  Without looking I don't know who their captain is and nobody in that team really comes across as an obvious candidate.  A far cry from the stooges I used to hate; Terry, Ballack, Lampard, Drogba, Costa etc.

Hopefully Sarri will try to get at Man City as that's the only hope they have.  After a few poor results though I can see them being conservative and taking the inevitable 2-3 goal defeat that comes with such an approach against City.

Chelsea are a weird side, they have times when they're absolutely shocking, but then they also have a habit of pulling rabbits from a hat when they're not expected to. Hopefully we see them at their best today. Giroud to start ahead of Morata hopefully.
