yeah, i agree. i've seen him on jongleurs on paramount comedy a few times, very funny. you don't happen to know the name of the angry perfectly spherical american comedian. almost looks like he's gonna burst out crying?

Anyone ever seen/heard of Dane Cook? In my opinion the best stand up comedian around at the moment. His stuff is mainly observational but he has great energy and stage presence (best I've seen since Hicks). Check out his stuff. I'm sure its available on certain torrent sites

Watched Robert Newman's History of Oil tonight on More4, it was fucking class!! Not seen anything as good since Mark Thomas was at it on CH4. It was more like a lecture rather than a comedy show, opened my eyes to some things.

It probably deserves its own thread really, but if anyone reads this in the next few minutes, you can catch the repeat at 12.45am on More4, or of course the repeat repeat at 1.45am on More+1

However I am sure it will be repeated during the next week or so given the nature of digital broadcasting, so keep an eye out.

saw this set live with Mark Thomas co-headlining (but watched it last night too)

really are doing their best to pick up were Bill left off, but in their own unique inimitable style. Will be getting this DVD assuming it''s been released. no doubt there will be some illuminating extras.

Thought the axis of evil/adopting trading in euros instead of dollars just a coincidence? theory was very interesting.

Anyone else going to see Doug Stanhope later on this year as part of the Manchester Comedy Festival? He's performing alongside a good comedy friend of mine, Dave Bishop, who was really supportive in helping me get into the stand up comedy scene.

I'm recording my next show, so hopefully I can upload it and you can all tell me how Bill Hicks-esque I am!

There are a few comedians in Edinburgh just now...I'm off to see Dylan Moran tomorrow night, then Bill Bailey, Rich Hall, Harry Shearer, and probably a few more randoms over the next three weeks.

Saw Dylan Moran in Cardiff was very good, dealt with this one nobhead heckler brilliantly, nothing blunt or nasty like but he did cut him to shreds.

Bill Bailey is definately on my must see list.

Been to see quite a few comedy nights recently, and the funniest guys I have seen recently are Marcus Brigstocke, Will Smith (the posh one, not the Yank) and Brendan Burns.

But Bill Bailey still makes me chuckle more than anyone ever has.
