----------------------------------------------------------------
To whom it may concern;
I am contacting you firstly as a Liverpool supporter but also as a football supporter in general.
Being 26 years of age, unfortunately I cannot comment on the pre-Sky Sports era of football, an era when many of the older generations of football supporters around the country would happily tell you that football had not yet "lost its soul". I can however, say with absolute clarity, that I cannot remember a time when I was personally so disillusioned with football and specifically the current situation at my club, Liverpool Football Club.
As I look around at what is going on within the modern game I cannot help but feel deep concern. Concern for the welfare of a number of clubs in deep financial difficulties - Liverpool Football Club obviously included. Concern for the future of the game in the long term as a result. Concern over the fact that the institutions charged with ensuring the well being and integrity of the game (The Premier League, The FA, FIFA, UEFA) are seemingly happy to take a backseat while all this continues to unfold. Also, and particularly, concern for the many thousands and even millions of genuine supporters out there that are being continually fed mis-truths or even down right lied to by the very people that we should be able to trust but, as a result of the constant cloak and dagger tactics, we simply cannot.
As a Liverpool supporter this applies particularly to our own Managing Director, Christian Purslow (among others), who has simply ducked a number of legitimate questions when put to him on a number of occasions by the supporters of the club that he is there to serve. Questions that we feel he is obliged to answer.
I am writing to you therefore, in the hope that you may see fit to provide a voice to the many thousands of disillusioned Liverpool supporters (and football supporters in general) out there that are simply being ignored by the club that they love and the people that are currently running it.
It is my hope that you would make public the legitimate questions that we, the supporters, would like answered and direct them towards Mr.Purslow in the hope that he may then feel the need to answer them and to answer the supporters that provide the soul to the club that he is fortunate to serve.
You will find the list of these questions attached in the form of an open letter to Mr.Purslow.
I welcome your response to this email and would like to thank you in advance for your help in raising awareness of the concerns of the supporters of Liverpool Football Club.
Yours Sincerely,
Mark Revell
(Liverpool Supporter)
