That, the Rooney Elbow @ Wigan, Van Persie elbow on Cabaye a few years back - Not given a straight red as Webb said he saw it - no further action taken, Huth stamp on Suarez - no further action taken as that clown Mason said he saw it...

The two (I'm pretty sure?) Rooney kicks this season as well

Adam banned for three games.

Quote
Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam has been suspended for three matches after the FA rejected his club's appeal against a violent conduct charge.

The charge followed an incident during the Potters' 1-0 Premier League victory over Arsenal at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday when Adam tangled with Gunners striker Olivier Giroud.

Adam was alleged to have stamped on the Frenchman's leg in a clash that was missed by referee Mike Jones and his fellow match officials but picked up on video after the final whistle.

The Scot strongly denied the charge, but it was found proven at an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing and Adam will now miss the Premier League matches against Norwich, West Ham and Aston Villa.

Stoke City chairman Peter Coates described the FA's decision to charge Adam as "appalling" on Tuesday and the club's chief executive Tony Scholes also criticised the FA after the appeal was rejected.

He told the club's official website: "I am extremely disappointed for the effect that this is going to have on Charlie and on the football club.

"However, I am not surprised because clubs like ours very rarely succeed in appeals to the FA.

"We put together a strong defence which was based upon the facts, which were that Charlie needed to plant his foot, and in changing direction his eyes followed the ball at all times.

"How can anybody other than Charlie say what intent was there? How can the FA possibly justify this decision in the light of recent incidents which were far worse at other clubs, which have gone unpunished?"

I have no doubt he did kick him deliberately, but this raises questions why other similar incidents have not been investigated.
"And there are red and white scarves of Liverpool, and red and white bobble hats of Liverpool, and red and white rosettes of Liverpool, and nothing else. And the sun shines now."

so the inept FA can take 3-4 days to ban Adam for what may or may not have been an accident and yet will probably take another week or so to ban Pardew who actually meant to headbutt Meyler(connected or not)

I think he's done it on purposes like others have mentioned as his reaction is telling. But the bigger problem is the complete lack of consistency in the FA it's becoming ridiculous! And the rule based on investigation if the ref DIDN'T see it, even if he did he can get it wrong so why they won't investigate in this case makes no sense

Remember Bosingwa on Benayoun.

Incomprenehsible that that one went unpunished.

That is probably the most baffling decision that I've seen any officials make during a game?
As for Adam, only he really knows what was intended, its a 50/50 where you can't know his intentions? Like most I just want consistency from the FA. Some players get away with the same things while others are done.
I know its up to UEFA but has Saldado been charged for throwing his elbow the other night?

Good decision from the FA, it was about time Adam got banned for this type of shit he does on the pitch, Paulinho and Bale x2 plus this one now. He done it a few times when he was with us aswell.

One of the dirtiest c*nts in the league, deserved a longer ban if anything.

Think he's been unlucky with that. Dare I say that his 'previous' has played a part in that decision? Because the likes of Huth and Shawcross have gotten away with similar or worse challenges. Or maybe the FA are just incompetent.

Given previous tackles/issues can't be taken into account, and given it was practically impossible to tell if he meant it or not given the direction he was looking, it is a shocking decision.

Not saying he maybe doesn't deserve it for past tackles, but it is just a ridiculous decision otherwise.

This feels a lot like Mascherano and the respect campaign. The media picked up on this, harshly enough, so they had to act. With Huth & Shawcross the media and general public had just come to accept Pulis' methods. He fined players for diving and it was generally accepted that this was their thing to gain an advantage, just like the way they spent 8 minutes per game drying off the ball for a fucking throw-in.

But then everyone will forget about it in the next incident. Just like you didn't see any pentalties given for "fouls" much more severe than Skrtel on Bony last weekend. This is unacceptable until it happens again and they have to maintain a level of consistency

He had every right too aswell considering Adam put him out for 3 months with Ankle Ligament damage, Plus the horrendous challenge in our pre-season game with Spurs were he decided to stamp on him from behind.

What a strange thing to say.

I'd really like to know how they came to the conclusion that it was intentional. What people need to remember that today it's Charlie Adam who "deserves it for being a dirty twat", but tomorrow it could be one of our players who has a certain reputation...

Let's be honest, even if it was an accident, he's done the same thing to Bale twice, Paulinho and stamped on Giroud. If anything the FA banned him because of his history, not necesarrily this incident.

That's bizarre.

I dislike Stoke as much as the next man, but quite how they've worked that out when Chelsea players do worse on a weekly basis I'll never know. Just don't get how they can justify that being intentional.

Well we all know that the FA are made by Chelsea and Utd loving cocks so that wouldn't happen to them. It is right because this has happened too often for it to just be a co incidence, but this is wrong because there is no consistency. The FA are made up of twats though so what can you expect.

Well only Adam would know whether they were intentional or not. They don't seem like Adam deliberately went out to hurt Bale though. Terrible challenges, certainly, clumsy at best and he should have been sent off for the first one definitely.

No, I said injuries are part of football and who knows when Bale is genuinely injured or even fouled, given some of his antics in the past? Intentional or not, there's certainly no place for tackles like the one when Adam was playing for playing for Blackpool and he should have gotten a red card. Doesn't mean it was intentional but that's irrelevant.

I've got no opinion about Adam one way or the other, but neither of those look malicious to me. Intentional in the sense that he meant to trip Bale up (for the second one) yes, but he's clumsy more than anything. I don't know how you can call those deliberate any more than the latest incident. There are far, far worse challenges both on and off the ball (mainly involving Ashley Williams) to get upset about.

Adam stamp on Giroud = 3 game ban

Huth stamp on Suarez = no ban whatsoever

I agree with all those who say the FA needs to be more consistent.

But to me that means McManaman and Huth (and others) should have gotten bans not that Adam should not.

Exactly but I suppose the outrage(if you can call it that) is that the Adam one is the most subjective and hard to call with regards to intent, there's simply no consistency and a lot worse have been let off without charge. The FA are absolutely baffling and never held to account.
