What was the score when you wrote that? Just seen it’s 7/4!

5-3. Don't tell me we lost another wicket.

33-4 now. Stirling and Kevin O'Brien both into double figures.

Ireland in no way disgraced though.

Pakistan win by 5 wickets.  A very respectable debut, I think, especially given a 36-5 start.

Reasonable catch taken by ABdV today...

Great catch! That game had two other stunning catches taken by Dhawan and Rashid Khan.

What do those think on changes to the mandatary coin toss, there's a proposal from next year the visiting teams captain will get to choose whether to bat or bowl, or have the coin toss.

Going to leave a chasm in SA's middle order. Amla can't have many years left in him now either.

My guess is that his family life has been suffering and it's make or break. One of the modern day greats.

Didn’t realise he was 34 although I guess that’s by no means past it for a batsman. Seems quite sudden. Still remember him and Amla making their debuts in the same series (maybe same Test?) against us. Hell of a long time ago!

Didn’t realise his stats were so good, averages over 50 in both Teats and ODIs but almost more importantly, a joy to watch as well. Thinkbhe comes across as a good bloke as well so don’t wish to be informed otherwise!

Very few players like him will exist in the next few decades. Played some of the most extraordinary T20 shots and innings ever but averaged over 50 in tests. Remember commentators saying that he's very skilled at other sports too. Some people are just born with.

AB and Steyn made their debuts against England at Port Elizabeth. Amla made his debut a week or two earlier in Kolkata.

it amused me at the end where they were on about fixing an england away game not to last 5 days.

you don't need to fix that these days. produce the flattest most dead track ever and england will still manage to lose the game.

Anyone else look up the scorecard for that test in Chennai and look which England players didn't score many runs...

The Sri Lankan pitch stuff is definitely plausible. The condition of that pitch for the Australia game was ridiculous on the 2nd day.

The pitch fixing thing is unavoidable really. If Sri Lanka or anyone else request a turner (Who wouldn't against Australia?!) all it takes any member of the ground staff who is likely to be paid absolute peanuts to "leak" this and it's obviously they'll be a result.

The response and condemnation would've been far quicker if it were Pakistani players being named in the documentary, and the names would not have been bleeped either I feel.
