Is Maicon wearing 42 for Inter or I'm just imagining.

EDIT: It is a lookalike named Jonathan.

Forlán playing left wing? Strange.

Inter are opened up easily, they can't play like this against the top teams. 1-0 Inter via Milito but I think there is a lot to happen in this game.

How long will gasperini persist with the 3-4-3 formation? forlan isn't a right winger and it looks like sneijder is playing on the left  :o

Inter are approaching this with the intensity of a Wednesday night jazzercise class.  Someone should tell Lucio the season has officially started.

As a Fiorentina supporter, I am finding Palermo's endeavor and fluidity at times tonight worrisome; I was rather hoping they would implode here.  Well, they've got all season. :)

The Barbera pitch has looked huge tonight, just acres of space in the channels at both ends.

Ilicic ought to have done better with that chance.  Goes off for Bertolo, which is a good change.

That was b*ll*cks, ref.  Should have been a booking.

I had my doubts about Acquah being only 19.  That effort way over the bar was, however, reassuringly rushed.

I've always wondered what would've happened had he been sold. Let's say 7 years ago for €20m. Would've been considered bordering on insanity paying that much for a 31 year old, but now that comes down to roughly €3m a season

Crazy thing about Zanetti is his awesome fitness record, has he ever had a serious injury?

Inter aren't pressing the ball with any great conviction.

You would think a team with title aspirations would work a little harder to find a winner in the final quarter-hour of their season opener.

Can't see why he is trying to force the formation on a team that for the last few years have used a 4-2-3-1 formation or even 4-4-2 . Forcing there best player out of position in sneijder and playing zanetti at centre back if im not mistaken.

True. I couldn't quite believe it when he brought Sneijder on and played him on the left. Nonsense.

Imagine if Gasperini gets sacked and Benitez goes back.

Also Inter's Alvarez looks very good.
