What did you do or was it mistaken identity?
Drugs related. There is a big post on here in the off topic I wrote when someone asked what prison was like. Needless to say, I haven't been arrested since and I'm pretty ashamed and embarrassed about it all. It's a bit annoying having to share it but when people ask why I didn't get one for Blackburn and build from there, it's the unfortunate truth. Little did the judge know when she didn't suspend the sentence, she was handing down the sterner punishment, no jumping on the Premier League away ladder for 10+ years ;D

But yeah, I basically live on these boards reading about tickets and what's available and there really haven't been that many opportunities.

I remember reading about it in the Boozer thread or similar and found it interesting as I worked in a male Cat C prison for 3 years 2006-2009 so I could relate a bit from what I had seen.

Well done for turning it around

Driving a car is not comparable to going to a fucking football match, fuck me.

I wouldn't trust any private entity with my photograph, i don't trust the government with it either but fuck all you can do about that.

When you step outside do you constantly shake your head so the photos the government are taking with their satellites come out blurry?

I haven't seen your other post (sounds interesting to be honest) but respect to you for saying why, and jokes apart, it must rub it in as that would have been a great opportunity. But you are always keen to go to any matches you can I know from reading your posts. Just keen trying, you never know when there will be another chance, one way or another

After a week of fruitless refreshing, this whole scrambling about for tickets lark has just about done my head in.  Tomorrow is game where last season there would have been a few spares on the exchange - deffo.  After a couple of games in mods, are there any chances you might re-instate exchange?  it's been great for us in recent years and It just makes you wonder where those tickets that would have been on the exchange will end up.  Empty seat would be my guess!

So I have just applied for the Man Utd away hospitality ballot. Anyway they have introduced a new drop down where you can allocate your ticket to other season ticket holders if you are successful. Prior to this game it was never an option.

So you can allocate to non-hospitality season tickets? Interesting.

If you already have the requisite credits to purchase an away ticket - can you still enter the ballot on behalf of a non-hospitality season ticket?

Presumably it's a way to try and combat touting, rather than allowing a season ticket holder a free way on to the ladder.

Everyone will have to confirm their identity so that they only hold 1 member/ST card going forward, hopefully the club make sure those with multiple cards are taken out of the loop

I don't get how people could have multiple cards in the same name anyway?

Wow they are actually starting to take care of business it looks like it. Will likely start by eliminating the touts that have various memberships set up and all on 13+ games by the looks of it.

A downside would be if you do buy in the bulk ticket sale and you can't attend a game and are honestly just trying to give your ticket to a family member or friend it will probably affect that.

Good news. In theory could get rid of the touts who've used random names but they'll just use the one-off name change to someone that does exist and can verify. Also, I'm assuming fake IDs would work? They've given a fair amount of notice for touts to get contingencies in place.

What about hospitality seasies? Know someone with a couple and the names are literally Joe Bloggs 1, Joe Bloggs 2 lol

It's not necessarily the exact same name but from my experience, people have cards with maybe middle names/ reverse names (e.g smith John, Smith Jonathan, smith Jon, John Smith, Jonathan Smith, Jon Smith) which is 1 person but multiple cards. It's a very big thing for the club to actually do but with a bit of luck will hopefully make it slightly easier in these members sales for us all.

They don't. They have loads of different names. The club are trying to make sure that these are real people by getting us to verify we are who we say we are. Takes out the fake names and the duplicate names then.

One-off name change I assume won't work for them as they will no doubt need to verify the details for the name change

Basically take a clear picture of your driving license/passport and make sure it matches the info what's on the system. They will verify and shortly after delete picture.

perfect. They can have different variations of their own name as with the "john smith" example but as soon as the 1 driving license is on the system then they will surely be able to investigate that person.

Well, this is definitely a brilliant first step, and it's great the club are doing something like this now.

Hopefully this will expand and eventually we might have a completely fair system and touts can die a horrible death.

Then, it would be bloody marvelous if they could do something about aways.

So, basically after November you won't be able to access the ground with your card unless you have verified yourself?
