The commentators picked up on it a little but I do also love how proactive this pair are; they're quite happy to read the interception and get in ahead of an attacker with his back to goal, a situation which not only cuts out the danger but also often sets us away on the attack. They do it with such physicality that it tends to be either possession for us in a reasonably dangerous situation or a foul to them somewhere up by the half-way line, giving us ample time to reorganise and get men behind the ball. It's sort of our equivalent to City's tactical fouling, it just shuts down our opponents' game completely and makes the long ball (along with our high line and insane aerial ability) a very limited tactic against us. Long gone are the days when that used to be one of our Achilles heels.
