Isn't it fucking annoying that football can't have a commentary team, on ANY channel at all, as good as the one we have in cricket?
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

You've never heard Giles & Dunphy?

Birtles would be slating the Aussies saying it was all that nasty John Buchanan's fault.

Sky cricket coverage is class. They really know what they're talking about, and plenty of banter.

I hope they get the sprinkler out again ;D

No I don't dislike it.. I just think the TMS coverage is much more entertaining and informative. I do, however, think the pauses and gaps in the TV coverage commentary add to the lethargy of such a long game, whereas the radio coverage keeps the energy up.

I thought that. If they are 9 down they should bring him on for a wobble.

A few decades? I take back the 'lad' and add 'auld arse'.

Three decades of mostly abject misery when it's on Down Under. Not sure this series win makes up for most of it, but another 4 or 5 might do.

This rain can piss right off.

I wouldn't mind a bit of Tony Greig in an English box (er...). Maybe for us v Sri Lanka.

Chaminda VORS bowling HORD and FORST then spoonfeeding me some Haagen DORS.

A mate once called him for an interview at his holiday home in Sri Lanka (I'm sure we're not talking Arthur C Clarke here. I hope.). He said he had to be quick because he was 'about to embark on a barbecue.'

Only works if you say it in a Greigy voice. I say it now whenever we have a BBQ. The missus and kids never get it. Fuck em.

;D Michael Slater's been doing a lot of Greigy on TMS - twice now I've woken up to him doing a bit of 12th Man Out. 'Beige' is always said in a Ritchie voice at mine... 'Beige, the beige or the beige.' (it developed into that during a visit to B&Q)
