Fucking hell. I know I absolutely shouldn't but that has me laughing, just so bizarre, over the top and unexpected. Was just expecting a little square up when I got told about it. Completely lost his head. There wasn't much thinking involved but of course he has to do a lot lot better.

You can get gluten intolerence tests done on the NHS and i'm sure all major sports teams have them done on their athletes.

I remember a Yankees player Mark Teixeira quitting Gluten a few years ago and he said a lot of positive things about the switch.

Heh heh, that’s more like it. He probably did take an elbow in the back of the head there anyway. It damn well hurts, that sort of thing - any time I bite my tongue or whatever I’m not myself for a good ten seconds afterwards. I could easily see myself throttling some Spurs youth prospect at a time like that, it’s just there’s never one around.

The kid was getting throttled and made less of a meal out of it than the first team players yesterday. Imagine Kane’s reaction if Karius grabbed him by the throat.

Hopefully this is the new Lallana. We are too nice in midfield.

I’ll be honest it made me laugh, seeing a man-bunned Lallana go mental at that lad, completely out of character, though I’m not surprised he’s frustrated at the moment struggling to get a game then compounded by having to play a youth game having some scrote try and do you.

It's probably frustration and he's took it out on a opposition player. He's been injured for a long period, come back and looked rusty as fuck, then gets picked for an u23 game. Probably just a culmination.

However Lallana is 30 this year, he's no spring chicken. Time isn't exactly on his side, especially the way he plays the game, and you start to get more knocks at this age. Not sure he's a long term option.

Yeah, it’s definately out of frustration, thankfully he’ll be available for Southampton. I can’t see it happening again with him once he gets back to normal after the injuries.
