In Seville this week for the game. Great atmosphere there. (Except we had the dangerous 'management' of the crowd into the same area).

Also went to Atletico's new stadium. I know the irony there but it wasn't sold out and my ticket was far away from the action.

What was clear at Atletico was their 'kop' end even though it had seats/numbers nobody cared about it. Young lads got in early and ran/raced to the front. It filled up in the centre, then behind. Everyone trying to get as close to the action as possible.

That replicates the old way of it happening, but in a new ground. I'm not saying that would work at LFC (or England for that matter) but it worked there.

Also around the ground you didn't see stewards telling people to sit down every 2 minutes. Much more relaxed.

Worth looking on here if people want to see ages of faces etc. Some great pictures:

Spares galore today. Seems to be happening more often as loads can’t be arsed anymore, not that I blame them at all.

Then the £22 disparity between the main stand and sections of the Kop is a fucking joke aswell.

The biggest kick in the balls is never being able to get any in the sales and selling out in 15 mins, then before every game you have 100’s of spares people can’t wait to get shot of.

God that made me go all nostalgic, happy and sad. Great pictures especially the face on ones of the kop. Love that one with the young lad giving the middle finger.

I didn't go today but I usually go maybe three quarters of the home games. Fuck the oot shouts, or the photo taking bellends, it's been done to death. Firstly it's a myth the atmosphere was rocking in the good old days, I've got mates allr older than me, when Liverpool were winning week in week out before I was born and the expected entertainment. This lack of atmosphere bollocks needs knocking on the head.

But right now we're caught between two stalls because at home there's a general feeling of uncertainty. Teams sit back and we are pedestrian, we are generally expected to take the game to the opposition at home but it's difficult when they have all there players behind the ball, then we get countered against or look vulnerable on the set plays and that discontent tends to reverberate around the ground. It just happens, your almost fighting against.

Non-stop in the Kop apart from the 10mins sustained spell in the first half for Chelsea and the final 10. Thought it was of the better ones this season.

Was  better in the Kop, but that's in the back half.  Judging by clapping and hands in the air during FOAR, not convinced the front half was involved throughout.

Easy to have a go when you’re sat at home innit. It was good in U1, and the upper main for most of the game. Also, absolutely fucking freezing.

Klopp went mad with the crowd, I think it was about midway through the first half when Mignolet didn't kick quickly and the Kop moaned, Klopp was gesturing to the Kop to calm down and slow it down, he did it twice!

I think it must wind him up as much as it does me when we groan so loudly at our own players.

Maybe it does but he’s just involved in the game and reacting like everyone else, in their own particular way. When there’s a groan, it’s not everyone who will react like that. Just like not everyone will react like Klopp and stay positive. It’s just the way it is at the match, each to their own. Like not everyone will shout “man on” but often enough of the crowd will do to make it sound like the whole stadium shouted it.

Don’t see it as a big issue. The best thing about our crowd and our manager for that matter is that we’re generally fully engaged in the game, even if we’re not singing non-stop for 90 minutes. Yeah there’s some modern shite like messing with phones or taking pictures, but it’s no worse than at most grounds and is probably a lot better than many. Good things are round the corner. I can feel it. Just need to stick with the plan and not worry if some want to have a moan along the way. It’s always happened. It called frustration, a natural emotion.

Klopp should spend more attention on getting his in-game management right instead of having a go at the crowd all the time. I'm a big Klopp fan but his constant berating of the fans has to stop. We cant even sing his fuckin name without him getting in a strop.  :butt

Better than it has been recently in general I thought (was in Anfield Road, 228)

Plenty in there wanting to sing, but massive thumbs down to the stewards who were trying to get a lad ejected for standing (against the wall, so wasn’t blocking anyone’s view).

They even called the police in when he wouldn’t come out of his row as they ordered him to, pathetic! Thankfully he came back after a chat with the policeman, to great applause! Hope he doesn’t get any further action down the line, one of the other stewards seemed to take a note of his seat details - she was definitely writing something down! If that’s the case, jeez what is the club coming to??

Oh, and loving that YNWA was back in its post-player entrance slot!!

Definitely one of the better atmospheres that we've had this season. Electric in short intervals, dull in others.

Overall it was a decent crowd.

Kop kept shouting at Mignolet to boot it up field rather than play from the back. Definitely caved into the pressure on a couple of occasions.  :D

It was alright but would expect it to be much better considering Chelsea probably ranks as the third most attractive fixture on the calendar.   So alright essentially equates to piss poor.   A 5.30 kick off under the lights should have been much louder.   Not bad in U1 though.

I have to ask as it sounded weird on the telly and has done a few times:

It sounds like YNWA isn't sung in sync before the game, like one part of the stadium is ahead of the other. Has anyone else thought about that and what does it sound like inside the ground?

Correct.

The thing is though he doesn't like people singing about him, because for him its all about the players. That is why his attitude is when the team do something good its due to the players, when something bad happens its down to him. I think the point being the players have to do it, so he wishes the crowd to get behind them, and not him, until after full time maybe.

The ‘fans’ should get off the players backs whenever they think they’ve done something wrong then. It doesn’t help one fucking bit and Klopp knows it.
