A bit of a correction. Setanta is also available through ITVN for $15/month. I just bought it and hooked up for in time for Friday's HK final. I also discovered you can get every football channel (FSC, GOLTV, TYCsports, Fox Sports Espanol, ESPN Deportes) through Dish Network's (AT&T) Latino Dos package for under $40. I plan on putting my dvr to work this season!
Jacob, the post you quoted is over a year old (2006) and was true at the time - ITVN did not yet carry Setanta. A lot of people are using the service now.
Meanwhile, just trawling back through this thread - funny. And how the hell did Setanta manage to bump its per month cost from $11.99 last July/August to the current $14.99 with little uproar? I remember looking at my bill a few months ago and saying "wtf"? That's a lot of money for a standalone channel (more than HBO!
) - it's still cheaper than the old $300 PPV package, but not as great a deal as it first was at $12 a month!
All that said, we'll never give it up....
