Thought Spurs were bankers today.

Always thought they were a bunch of complete bankers.

Villas Boas left Soldado on the bench didn't he?

He did, but to be fair he has been fairly rubbish so far.

Yeah because Jermaine Defoe is in form and just as good as Soldado according to some numpties on here.

So, that defeat to Southampton doesn't look like the end of the world afterall.  Tottenham showing why they are the real deal this season.

Kind of - you never know in a one off game but we're only 7 games in and 5 of the top 6 spots are filled by 5 of the top 6 wage bills already

That doesn't take away from the unpredictable nature of individual games though.

I noticed a lot of us, myself included, thought it would be 3-0 or thereabouts in the Spurs-West Ham game in the predictions thread. Except most said it would be Spurs winning!

Yeah because Jermaine Defoe is in form and just as good as Soldado according to some numpties on here.

Defoe sucks.

But Soldado could very well suck in this league - 0 goals in open play in 6 matches, and he's looked totally out of place here.  Compared to new guys like Osvaldo and Negredo who look the part from day 1.
