It made me hate football, something I've obviously loved all my life, and I couldn't find an ounce of enjoyment out of anything football related during that time.

I felt exactly the same, it was horrible. I remember a 2-0 loss to Stoke in the November, where we looked just like a relegation-threatened side.

Things are a little better now though  :D

Hahaha! They had the heights on there as 1.80m and 1.75m, so I just went with 0.05m without actually thinking what it related to. 5cm would have sounded a lot more normal though!

Strange game to have it on Monday night and the followed by a Saturday later afternoon game.

Maybe we are so good Sky has to give us our own slot with no distraction from other games. A good sign then.

The home defeat to Wolves, around Christmas time, was my lowest point as a Liverpool fan.

Going to be a tricky game this I think. Palace are a decent side and they'll come at us far more than West Ham did. Saying that I think that'll give us the opportunity to attack ourselves.

I'm going to say that we're going to score 2 or 3 goals. I'm hoping that our defenders will continue to look as good as they did in the first game and Alisson is likely to get a few early tests.

Prediction 3-1 to the Mighty Reds.

It's interesting most people haven't put Henderson in their team - suspect he'll start in place of Wijnaldam or Milner; its a very different game to last weekend and I'd be surprised if we went into it without a slightly more defensive midfield. Obv Fabinho is possible too but the noises are we don't think he's ready

We could easily have won bigger against West Ham, therefore I think we will at least win this with +3

Think we'll have same lineup. 8days rest, no further injury, so why change a winning team?

Because it's a different game with different opponents.

The 6 role was somewhat shifted between Keita, Milner and Wijnaldum against West Ham but against a team who will sit in deep I think we need a more defined 6, ready to deal with counters and able to control the ball. Hendo is probably the man for that, allowing Keita to play his 8 role and I'd keep Milner in as he was outstanding.

Klopp talked about him needing to adjust during preseason - maybe he puts him in away vs Palace but it doesn't feel like the ideal debut game. We'll see

Because it's a different type of game for which we'll need to beware of second balls primarily neither Milner or Gini are experienced enough as DM - which is why we'll need Fabinho , our only genuine DM imo.

This will be a tricky game. Palace were quite effective against Fulham, who squandered multiple chances early on. Nullifying Zaha will be key

Fulham were the better side imo first half , big thing imo was Fulham had to many new players playing and Palace had none , which showed as the game went on

I wouldn’t expect many changes this early into the season. Maybe Clyne for TAA the only one.

It made me hate football, something I've obviously loved all my life, and I couldn't find an ounce of enjoyment out of anything football related during that time.

I've not missed many matches on telly since 1997 when I first learned that I f**king love this club. I'd plan my weekends around our matches.

But when Rafa left because of the charlatans and the facerubbing owl came in, I actively avoided watching us. Just came onto RAWK casually after matches and watched the implosions when we inevitably lost.

Still could remember a fair few (some are still here) beating the owl drum and trying to justify his appointment over Rafa right up to the point he was sacked. Good riddance.

FSG came in, Kenny returned, and I got my club back.

some of our ex legends to sticking the knife in rafa's back

lets hope we start of like the hammers game. An early goal will set the tempo to the tie. Palace needs to equalize and that leaves a few gaps behind surely and with Sakho, hate to say it since used to be one of our own, have a few brain farts. Imperial when he is on form but an absolute liability when he is having one of his bad  days.

It would be nice to go out and paste these to keep up the pace with City. In saying that, a win is a win. I think we should have too much for these. 3-1. Firmino , Salah and Mane.

It won't be easy this, I'm expecting a difficult match and one where we'll have to work hard to come away with the 3 points. We could have beaten West Ham 7-0 but as Bournemouth showed us yesterday, they've had a shocking beginning to th season so we shouldn't take too much from that opening game. In the end though, I'm expecting us to have enough for them in attack.

Why are people even worrying about City? Just concentrate on ourselves not even thinking about challenges at this stage.
