Garcia seems a strange one given how erratic he has been for some time.

I reckon its more to do with him trying to qualify for the Ryder Cup.Seen an interview of him today and he looked pretty calm and composed.Seems like hes just going to go out and play with a level head and forget everything around him.As he said hes taking the pressure off himself. If he can do that and keep his putting steady then he will be in with a shout. Its a big If though.

He's taking a break from golf after this tournament and not interested in playing the ryder.

Picked out Scott and Ogilvey myself, but prices are gone now since he tipped them up.

"If I am fortunate to make the Ryder Cup, I will definately be there and trying to help the European Team.Im going to go out there and just see what happens. If I make it by myself then all so well and good but if not well then hopefully I can do enough to make monty choose me"

Garcia talking yesterday.

That would make me not give him one the bi-polar lunatic. Also puts me off bakcing him, that and his inability to drive straight and win tournaments.

Shaun Micheel at 7/1 to finish in the top 20..Won this event once and also finished runner up 3 years back didnt he?Anyway apparently his mother is close to passing away and she wants him to play in this event. If ever a player needed extra motivation its this lad.Big outside punt but at 7/1 just fancied it.

Micheel was looking pretty good yesterday during the coverage i watched.

He's -2 still with 8 to play of his first round.

Hope I havent put the kiss of death on him.  ;D

Yup long way to go i supose..Palmers picks havnt started the best have they?Scott i think is the best on level par but from what i saw of him yesterday he was very reluctant to go at pins so god knows what he will be like for the weekend when the pins get tougher.Had Goosen to win his 3 ball yesterday.Wasnt expecting that at all.I would have accepted molinari winning it because he was class yesterday but Goosen was so bad it was scary.Them two back to back double bogeys just messed him up.Fancy Villegas to turn it on today.Played well yesterday missing a couple of birdie putts so im on him to beat poulter and corey pavin(more so poulter) in there 3 ball..

Yeah the Goose had a nightmare and that score flatters him too.  He chipped in from way of the green twice!!

Dont reckon Steve Plamer will be winning anything this week unless a miracle happens but it is early days i suppose.

Fairly typical as it's the first time I've followed him!
