Let's batter 'em.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Not sure how long Mignolet held onto it. Wish someone would post it.

Mings obviously reset the clock when he bounced it, duh.

Saying that, keepers often hold the ball for that length of time at the end of games... will sometimes end in a yellow, but indirect free kick?

Yellow for intentionally time wasting over and over again. Migs just filibustered the game outright. 21 seconds. 21.
No excuse. Right call by the ref.

This ref has lost the fucking plot, fortunately he's fucked up evenly
I reckon it's all fair enough to be honest. The pen was a bit soft, but definitely a "seen them given".

Too literally? Too literally would've been if the ref blew on 6 seconds. He's been relaxed with the rules not literal.

The whole point of the 6 second rule is to prevent goalkeepers intentionally running down the clock to preserve a scoreline, that clearly wasn't the case here.

Bit of a waste, we'll be on holidays then.

I agree.

I don't think either decision was a mistake.

Exactly - correct on both counts, just rarely given. Still, back to square one and then Benteke scores a beautiful goal.

Been ok - we should see this out with at least one more goal.

And yet Swansea's keeper will continually hold on to the ball for more than 6 seconds on Sunday but the ref will do sweet fuck all; or may book him in the 93rd minute.
Taking a long time to take a goal kick isn't the same as holding the ball for 20 seconds. 10-15seconds is usually let off, but over 20 seconds and you deserve to have a FK called.

Yep, I'm not bothered because the decisions have evened themselves out. Both very soft in my opinion.

It's not like it was a one off for mignolet.  Almost every time he has the ball, by the time whatever replay is being shown at the time, he'll usually still have the ball after the replay has ended.  He really needs to improve his distribution.

He played a couple of nice quick balls recently and got lambasted for both them on here.

Chap can't win. Tonight it was a fair kop to be honest but id like to see how many of the genius' on here who are pointing out that he does it all the time had ever suggested that he might get penalised for it.

The ref made the right decision, I guess Mignolet really didn't think that would ever be called. What I am more angry about is his positioning with that freekick (again!). He sets up a wall and then stands in the middle of the goal when the shot is taken. He does that way too often. Stay in your corner and try to protect it. If it goes in anyway from that distance, then fair play to the shooter. But don't make it so goddamn easy. And the worst part is, he keeps on doing that. Anybody remember Steven Gerrard's last home game against Crystal Palace? Puncheon freekick, exactly the same. Just do the solid thing, Migs.

2 things

1. Thomas Hitzelsperger is by far the worst pundit I have heard. And that is an award that is strongly contested in fairness.
2. Mignolet is dead to me. They said it´s rarely given but I knew at the point he went to roll it out, then stopped it would be given. He was tearing the arse out of it. His indecision is killing us.

Truth right here people!

He was wrong on that and wrong on the pen, both very soft. He's taken the rules too literally instead of using his common sense.
penalty was soft, but the Fk against mignolet should happen more often, look at Schwazers time wasting in the chelsea game {Ba goal game} ref was waving him on all game, yet he still took an age, finally got booked in the 88th minute or so.
