2. X4: Foundations 296 hours

3. Farming Simulator 22 234.8 hours

4. New World 137.3 hours

5. Stardew Valley 125.8 hours

Jagged Alliance 2 should probably be somewhere in there as well. It shows up with 47 hours on Steam, but I have played it loads when it originally came out and that wasn't on Steam. Same goes for Guildwars 2 probably.

Champ Man / Football Manager by a country mile. Pro Evolution Soccer second.

Don’t have stats for the latter, could have a look at Steam for the former but there are some things you’re better not to know.

Got it, still suffering a bit of burn out from ASE and waiting for some more maps to come out

Bought a pair of VKB Gladiator NXT EVO sticks so hammering ED and Star Citizen at the moment, could really do with an omni throttle adapter for the left stick but they're like Everton wins at the moment

I'm a finish the game and forget about it person, but I've poured hours into Elden Ring and still play it now. On NG+4 and must have put 200 hours into it, that'll bump up with the release of the DLC.

As above, but was in the mid to late 90s

Boy we spent a lot of time on that game (was Championship Manager back then)

xcom 2: 1.4k hours

GTAV on PC alone I've played 500 hours but I had it on PS3!

Footie Manager over the years wins easily tho, 616 in FM21

When you mod Xcom 2 for the Long War Of the Chosen, it's basically gaming heroin

Very much so.

But not only eFootball but also FIFA as well. PES 2021, at four years old, is still the best football game if you want to play offline. Well, for me it is. I'm actually considering buying a Steam Deck solely for this game, so I can mod it and enjoy for a few more years - because the footy game landscape looks bleak as anything. FIFA has won the war and is delivering the same skating, fast paced shit every year unchallenged. Konami is happy to get some money for no work with eFootball. Nobody new is on the horizon. So PES 2021 it is for me.

I'm not the only one to be honest.
Game has skyrocketed in price in past few years.
To buy on Steam now you're looking at 300+ euros.

Still in production I think.
Looks arcadey, even more so than FIFA, also won't support manual passing - which is an immediatey no from me.

Only company that could possibly make a decent football game is 2K - nobody else.
They have the know-how in sports games and the team to pull it off.

Chances of a small studio doing it well are minimal, it's just too complex - without even getting into licences and all that.

Haven't played on PC in many a year. Before using Steam, I played a lot of "Medieval 2 Total War". Anyway, my Steam-charts show:

Football Manager 2013 - 694 hours
Football Manager 2010 - 558 hours
Team Fortress 2 - 479 hours
Football Manager 2009 - 357 hours

I've only gamed on console for the last decade, and as far as I can see these are my most played games (older games seems to lack stats..):

Battlefield 5 - 632 hours
FIFA 20 - 397 hours
Destiny 2 - 298 hours
