What's Groundhog Day?
Its when they get pigs and run them through mangles, then grind them into a fine powder of bone and flesh, that makes a rather nice porky soup.
I clutch the wire fence until my fingers bleed,
A wound that will not heal, a heart that cannot feel.
Hoping that the horror will recede,
Hoping that tomorrow we'll all be freed.........JUSTICE.

There is no way this winter is *ever* going to end as long as that groundhog keeps seeing his shadow. I don't see any way out of it. He's got to be stopped. And I have to stop him.

Fucking Groundhog Day every time a referee takes to the Stamford Bridge pitch, for fuck's sake.

Are we really a creature of habit ?

Every morning I go through the same ritual -

Alarm at 6.50am.
Go bathroom (get ready for work, etc...).
Go downstairs into front room.
Open blinds and switch on little light near the TV.
Go into kitchen.
Get work bag ready and get some breakfast.
Eat breakfast in front room watching TV and flicking through the teletext - itv page 401 1st and then onto 301 & 331 for national news and the north west news.
Put shoes and coat on at sametime.
Drive car out the garage and travel same way to work.
Park in the same place, etc..........

The legend of Groundhog Day is based on an old Scottish couplet: "If Candlemas Day is bright and clear, there'll be two winters in the year."

Every February 2, people gather at Gobbler's Knob, a wooded knoll just outside of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.

Residents contend that the groundhog has never been wrong.

The ceremony in Punxsutawney was held in secret until 1966, and only Phil's prediction was revealed to the public. Since then, Phil's fearless forecast has been a national media event.

The groundhog comes out of his electrically heated burrow, looks for his shadow and utters his prediction to a Groundhog Club representative in "groundhogese." The representative then translates the prediction for the general public.

If Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow, it means six more weeks of winter. If he does not see his shadow, it means spring is just around the corner.

Approximately 90% of the time, Phil sees his shadow.

Phil started making predictions in 1887 and has become an American institution..
