I am glad we got City now. I fancy our chances against them over a two legged semi better than a 90/120 minute slog at Wembley. That's not to say I'm worried about them. Just that we have more time to put things right if there are problems - injuries, suspensions, cards etc. Also dodgy decisions will have a better chance of evening themselves up over two legs.
We were
always going to get City, regardless of whether United won or lost, 'cause the powers that be fancied an all-manc final and it dovetailed rather nicely with United's traditionally easy draw. It's not our fault ORN screwed it up but it wouldn't have made a difference to us in any case.
Get the City-Chelsea out of the way now and we've got an excellent chance of landing our hands on that trophy. If somebody offered me the League Cup and fourth spot at the start of the season I would've snapped their hand off, so as far as I can see it's all going according to plan.
