This week's podcast has just dropped, just a heads up with it being Bank Holiday and that

https://www.theanfieldwrap.com/2017/04/free-podcast-bobby-boings-baggies/
"I never wanted this for you. I work my whole life--I don't apologize--to take care of my family, and I refused to be a fool, dancing on the string held by all those bigshots. I don't apologize--that's my life--but I thought that, that when it was your time, that you would be the one to hold the string."

Just listened to the Phil Scraton special this afternoon and cannot recommend it highly enough. Props to Robbo for just letting him talk at length without interruptions
Yeah, Robbo's done a masterful job there.  I took it out for a long walk last night and there were a couple of points where I realised that the last time Robbo spoke was about half a mile or more ago.

The most recent AFQ was terrific too.  Not sure if it was the slower approach or just a great room, but something about it really worked.

Yeah, less questions but lots of interesting answers and discussion

Nah, thats all fair.

Was just absolutely conscious of the fact I had 45 minutes of show to get into 31 minutes because of stage times and delays!

I loved it - a nice surprise and fascinating.

Sorry - personal question - my iPhone was stolen so I'm using a piece of shit Android thing until it's replaced. How do I find and log in to TAW Player on Sitcher or whatever passes for iTunes on this monumental heap of shite? I;ve found The Wrap but a search for TAW Player throws up all kinds of nonsense.

He is a complete legend. I can't describe how much of a legend I think he is.

Would love to meet him and tell him that.

Gareth Roberts on that pod was fantastic, too. Someone who I've lauded for years now for his writing skills and it's been great to hear him grow on TAW and listen as he has come into his own as a presenter if you like.

Excellent stuff.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Chelsea fan on 50/50 slaughtering Conte and laying into the players. Looking forward to the edifice collapsing, hopefully this season but I'll take it next.
If I were a linesman, I would execute defenders who applauded my offsides.

Thought she was awful, you'd think they were mid-table under Mourinho again the way she was carrying on.

Just finished listening to it. It was great. Funny to think of EC as a bit of an old timer now, as he is my vintage, but it was great to hear stories of those times. He really enjoyed himself as well. Great job Don Vito !

The Lower League show should migrate to 50/50 Football I think; there's no need for the non-Liverpool stuff to stay with subscribers and it'd expand the appeal of 50/50 a good bit.

On the contrary, I like her and I'm grateful that any of them make a huge effort to take to a studio and chat about some of the dross served up to us this season. Whatever and wherever the game, whatever the time, TAW have delivered a measured review of them all. It must be hard to get volunteers for some Pink's but Philippa is often there thankfully.

A little feedback on the OCD question on AFQ.

I know there's absolutely no intent to offend or anything and I'm the last to be precious about this sort of shit.

My brother has pretty severe and debilitating OCD, the blasé/fun way people use the term fucks him off no end. I guess the key part of that acronym is 'disorder', many of us are obsessive and compulsive but the jump to disorder is where it interferes with your life in a significant way.

Was the first AFQ I've turned off, though my brother didn't so maybe I am a bit precious ;D. Again I'm not actually having a pop just wanted to voice that, mental health awareness and all!

That's internet celebrity for yer.  People being grateful for being provided with stuff they pay for.  Bit mad.

Besides, they pay their TAW contributors now don't they, rather than relying on them volunteering out of a sense of altruism?

Phil Scraton one is deadly, listened to it a few days ago.
Absolutely riveting listening...

He conveys things in such a clear way.
“Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
“Generosity always pays off. Generosity in your effort, in your work, in your kindness, in the way you look after people and take care of people. In the long run, if you are generous with a heart, and with humanity, it always pays off.”
