Massively improves the Stoke midfield, just hope he's able to stay healthy.

Sad to see him go, good luck Joe.

Good luck to the lad. Never quite cemented a starting spot here and was unlucky with the timing of his injuries, which were seemingly just as he was getting a run in the team and hitting form.

£13m for a player we bought for £15m and in the last year of his contract is a reasonable return, even though I'd have liked to keep him as an option. But he goes off to play more regularly and nobody can begrudge him that.

Cheers Joe, all the best.

Joe Allen leaves Liverpool

All the best Joe lad and hope things work out for ye

Ditto.
Was hoping he'd stay, now hoping he does well at Stoke.
Unfortunately for Allen, He was one of those that will suffer the consequences of rebuilding and strengthening the squad.

Shame he's going but you can't blame him for going in search of regular games. Played well at times last year but then was on the bench the next game so must have been frustrating for him. Good fee for him though.

Good luck to him, wish him all the best.

He's an ok player, but there's a reason why he's gone to Stoke. Was never good enough for a team that has aspirations of getting back to the top.

Would of loved to see him stay, think he's a cracking player. Just a shame he wasen't able to perform at his best on a consistent basis and wasen't guarenteed to start every match. Think we will miss him at times during the season to come on and sure up the midfield at he showed last season.

Best of luck in the future and as a fellow welshman hope he does well.

He needs regular first team football and with less games next season he won't have got them here. £11 million is a decent fee for Joe Allen with a year left on his contract.

Will miss wee Joe, a very good player and seemed a great lad. Probably the right decision for all parties involved - he gets to be a regular where he wouldn't have been here and we get a decent fee. Do think he would have been a useful player to have around next year but with a year left on his deal then I can see why he's gone.

Was a perfect squad player for us - total professional and always did the job when called upon. Wasn't the best player at the club but he never really let us down and he'll rightfully be remembered really fondly by us. Wish him and his family all the best!

A bit gutted to be honest. While he was not the best midfielder we had, I always thought that he punched above his weight in crucial instances. Also, his performance in the Euros were absolutely outstanding. When I look at the other players in the team of the Euros:  http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/10498790/joe-allen-and-aaron-ramsey-make-uefas-euro-2016-team, I would have to say that we are not getting the best money for him. I mean, look at the midfielders in that line-up - they are never going to be sold for anything less than 40M in this crazy market. Particularly when you feel that his best years is ahead of him.

do we have to do this every single time? He was in the last year of his contract, he wants games, we can't give it to him - and being on the team of the tournament at the Euros doesn't really mean much - you need to be able to produce across a full season. He's played well for us - but it's been a start stop career here with numerous injuries and very limited goal threat. If anything - the Euros have helped revise history about him. Getting 13M is not bad at all.

he is certainly however a good player, a model pro, and from all accounts a great person.
