As much as I think Abu Dhabi are the bigger threat, I’d love arsenal to get beat if only to wind their necks in. Smashing the dross of the league over the last few weeks has made them far too giddy.

Without knowing what will happen in the remaining games, a draw is obviously the best result as it damages both teams and puts us in charge. I’ll take a few red cards and injuries too.

Of course we need to Brighton first or it’s irrelevant.

Very much in the camp hoping for a draw in the City/Arsenal game. It puts things back in our hands. With a min 2 pt gap.
But we need to be looking for a min 10 pts in the next 4 league games with 3 at Home that should all be winnable.
Hopefully our horrible performance in the FA Cup will inspire a much improved effort next weekend though and we could make it 12/12

Some huge money is moving the market in the Man City v Arsenal game to suggest Arsenal have an excellent chance of getting something today and even winning the game.

It's somewhat surprising because the information about Man City's absences seemed announced well in advance.

I'm just wondering who else they may be missing from their lineup.  A tantalizing double header awaits...popcorn at the ready.

One down, 9 to go. Small matter of Villa, Spurs, Man Utd, Everton yet to come

I fancy us to win all our homes. Spurs will be tough but we are the better side and home advantage will be the difference.

Aways are all fraught with potential difficulties unfortunately.

If we can beat United and Fulham away I'll be confident as we're unlikely to face a more hostile away against a decent counter side than United. Everton will be hostile but let's face it, they haven't got the quality to hurt us like United do.

A lot depends on how much the games matter to the likes of Villa and Spurs when we play them I guess. Same goes for the teams playing City and Arsenal.

We've got to be looking at goal difference vs Sheffield United, just in case. Only side left we could put 4 or 5 past if we are on it.

Lads and lasses, it's in our hands!

To be honest, I am not arsed about their fixtures. Let's just focus on beating Burnley and the next game after that and so on.

That's the result we wanted.

Hopefully City and Arsenal both drop points in a couple of league games (more likely if they both progress in Europe) which would leave us needing 7 wins.

Unless Arsenal win all 9 we can afford a draw at least.

We can afford a few draws, no way that Arsenal side are winning out from here and I doubt City will either.

Their respective champions league draws are key here. It's going to be tough for them. Ideal scenario is both of them make the semis to meet each other

Everton don't have the quality to get anything from us but they most certainly have the shithouses to injure us in the hope it derails our title charge that's my main worry.

The simple fact is we are better than every single side we've got left to play and if we perform at our level we will win every game.

We'll win our home games but our away schedule is brutal.

Jota coming back is a huge boost, he's built for the clutch and will score some vital goals. Wish our cushion was just a little bigger.

Arsenal capitulated in the final games last season. Maybe they have learned from that but champions league is a big distraction. Not sure they have the squad to cope.

Great day for us, have to assume we need to win out as it is but I'd be amazed if 8 wins and a draw wasn't enough and think 7 and 2 very likely would be too.

Need to take it game by game in all honesty.

Think about Thursday first and tick that off.

We may be able to afford a draw now though.

Good day for us.

To be honest I’d rather City be more points behind us than Arsenal as City have the much easier run in.

Arsenal seemed to play the same way as they did against Brentford and Porto. Started to lack a bit of conviction and starting to look tired.

Did you listen to Silva's interview?

He said that they need to win every game and rely on us AND Arsenal doing them favours. That means a strong run will not be good enough if we match their results.

Let them worry about us and ket us do our things. Every game we win piles more pressure on them.

I wanted an Arsenal win beforehand but as the day has gone on the draw always felt preferable. It's fully in our hands, got to back ourselves from here. Being able to afford a draw without city getting ahead of us is a nice place to be. Massive week ahead!!

Think City need to win every game now.

Their max is 91. I think they'll get 89 at a minimum. They look like winning their last 8.

7 wins and 2 draws, or 8 wins and a loss for us tops that.

Yep where it hopefully goes to extra time and penalties and a couple of injuries
