Looked a proper mid-table clash. We improved after the break, but that's not saying much. Looked far better when Darwin came in. Batjetic looked bright, Thiago consistently looks a class above the rest of the team.

Honestly, compared to what we saw just a few games ago, this could be said as an improvement. Both teams were awful in the final third though.

This team has zero composure (bar a couple), it’s incredible to watch, just playing in a total panic throughout, unable to cope with any pressure, unable to pass, constantly giving the ball away. And the chances we did have - zero composure in the finishing, all of them making it to row Z, with that TAA one on 82 mins the worst of the lot.

I don't think it was as bad as most on here, still lacking fluidity but there were brief glimpses today and it was fantastic to see Nunez again. I know it's preaching to the converted, but what I'd do for an athletic midfielder. Thought Robertson looked somewhat back to his best.

Midtable game. This has been a dreadful game of football. We need a lot of changes in the summer. Nunez the only positive today. 3/4 games now for Gakpo and he hasnt shown anything note worthy.

Clean sheet feels like some kind of progress to me. Showing some fight, shape much better, but not nearly enough quality. Work still to do to rejuvenate us.

Someone should be fired for that short corner at the end.

Both teams were scared to lose, it had all the hallmarks of a chess match. I'd rather us play like that then get a battering that Brighton handed out every week. Real positives is that's two clean sheets in a row, we look more compact but we look a lot more toothless up top.

Onwards and upwards - was really important not to lose that.

The ball deflected and the defender made no attempt to play the ball so the decision was correct.

Top 4 went when the tap was turned off for signings. It's about damage limitation. In that respect it's not a bad result but next time we play Chelsea they'll have all kinds of star signings.

Klopp gets a 2/10. Bajetic and Elliot playing till that time was a crime against Football. They would have finished the game as well had both of them not been rinsed by Havertz twice alone for Klopp to notice.

Yea, absolutely. Salah and Gakpo each had a couple of openings in the first half and had no composure to even make good contact to hit the target.

We're lucky Chelsea are also devoid of confidence and refused to shoot from good positions as well (delaying and then eventually losing the ball).

But really lacking composure on our end.

Our set-piece defending in the first half was poor as well.

Fairly abject. I do wish we would play at least to the strengths of the players. Harvey on the left and Cody central was bemusing, even more so to then put Darwin on the left.

The most dangerous attack in Europe to this in less than a year.
