These are really the luckiest team in the league, but we're making it easy for them. Darwin and Salah need to be more ruthless with the chances coming their way.

The midfield once they settled have been sublime and Connor with Quansah down the right have cut out the silly passes. There is a lot to be pleased with but the goal is crucial, because we generally give up at least one good chance and we can't afford to today.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

Horrible FA Cup vibes about this. Need to be more clinical or you just know these jammy c*nts will end up making us pay for it.

Good thing is these playing Thursday has left them with less intensity but even in that cup game they were dominated for most of the 90 minutes. United will always punish teams that don't put them away. Look at Brentford last week.

I swear God I saw it in LIVE broadcast TV, Maguire just grabbed Salah's shoulder from behind in front of the ref.

Like literally fucking, in front, of Anthony Taylor.

And zero foul.

Glad someone else picked up on this.

We are so ponderous and wasteful though. This should be 3-0 at the very least and it is completely over. We need to score very soon into the 2nd half.

I hate these.

It happened in front of the linesman who didn't even react. This is what I resent more than anything the fact that linesmen just stay out of anything that's contentious.

So far, so good. Playing well. Just need to finish a little better. They are good at blocking shots to be fair.
Well they do have an Easter Island statue at the back.

Completely dominating them, even created whatever counters they had in the beginning by passing to them. But we just cant finish and we seem incapable of making good decisions inside the box. Not sure there would be much of a title fight to entertain the league if we knew how to be clinicial in front of goal.

Need to be even better next half to see this one out as the ref is itching to give them something. Would love it if we could put a few more in the net. Think Gakpo’s ability in front of goal could help as the second half progresses. Not sure who to take out, but maybe Salah.

Come on Liverpool! YNWA!!!!!!!

Is Jota going to be back at all for the run in? We probably have five if he is on the pitch. It isn't only his finishing. He makes very smart decisions with the ball around the goal. Oh, and Szoboszlai needs to come off for Jones. Szoboszlai passing was so poor he was basically United's best player.

Brilliant finish from Diaz and MacAllister is key in this, his use of the ball is sublime, always seems to know the exact area to play the ball in order to give his teammate the best chance to make something of the pass, reminds me of Trent in that respect

Elliott and Jones would be good subs to come on in this

Need to be more clinical that’s obvious.

Also got to be conscious of bradley getting caught out of position as that’s the only area they are trying to exploit.

Does Mo ever get a free kick these days? Maguire virtually bear hugged him. And don’t get me started on the holding in the box with slaphead looking right at it.

Bradley's yellow card was ridiculous when you consider..

1. How Taylor refereed the City vs Arsenal game last week.
2. We were told when the attack doesn't come to an end you can't get booked for stopping it.
3. Garnacho didn't get booked.
Really was. Just the inconsistency (bias?) that is beyond frustrating

Why was the commentator screaming like mad Garnacho scored that goal in the first minute, it was obvious he was well offside.

Its was really stupid, it was very easy to see in real time that he was off.
Our passing in the first 10-15 was quite poor, could be the conditions and the ball seemed not to move quickly, guess it could be the water.

Get a second goal early in the second half and then slowly take them apart would be perfect, may I even say, utopia!

Nope. They could have scored another 4 that day. We are much tighter and they haven’t had a shot. We’re also creating better openings rather than just keeping the ball. It’s also less a case of missing sitters than them blocking shots.

I know everyone is saying ‘with better finishing we’d be well ahead’ etc but I can’t think of many chances where I thought the player should have scored other than the Szoboszlai one he put wide.

I think the biggest problem is the final ball is always to slow or behind a player making the chance harder.

For one half that’s a lot. People overestimate how ‘good’ a chance is usually. What a player ‘should’ score is often a 1/4 or 1/5 chance.
