This is hard, though after so many others, it's getting less and less emotional.
If you went into an engineering lab with a set of blueprints devised by Brendan Rodgers for the perfect footballer, you would likely come out with Suarez. He is everything Rodgers wants in a player and it is no surprise that Rodgers constructed the rest of his team around Suarez.

He will not be replaced easily. I will not ever say LFC are better off without Suarez. I will say that the timing of this is impeccable from LFC's point of view. Suarez was going to miss all of August, September and October. With the schedule makers doing LFC no favors, Suarez's suspension was going to be critical. Without the sale money to help reinforce the team, LFC would have had to survive three months without him. It was very possible that those three months could have doomed any chance to come top 4 again this season, which would have clearly meant that Suarez would be off next summer for less money, and without CL to attract players.
Losing Suarez leaving is never good, but this gives us a fighting chance to build a squad capable of staying in the top 4. Glad this did not drag out into August.
