'Sadio Mane, world class, but not every day. Mo Salah, world class, but not every day. Bobby Firmino, world class, pretty much every day'

Not quite sure that’s accurate....
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

What a footballer. Up there with the cream of Liverpool footballers. He's playing football you'll probably get used to in about 20 years time.

You certainly wouldn't have known he'd just had a virus, still full of running, determination, tricky passing to keep Salah and Mane supplied. He should be even better against United, roll on Sunday.

The sheer skill of the feller. We're used to seeing his incredible hard work off the ball. We're used to him being able to carve out space in crowded situations. But to see him collect waist-high passes when tightly marked and not only stun the ball and make it obey him, but to then accelerate out of the crowd with the damn thing stuck to his foot....we're talking genius.

And, those back heels and flicks! Football from 20 years time, brought to you NOW by Bobby Firmino.

I absolutely love the fella.

I agree, absolutely my favourite player. The thing is Coutinho leaving has kind of allowed him to come out from his friend's shadow and show his talent that bit more. He has really grown as a player the last couple of seasons. I always remember how pleased Klopp was that we'd signed him and he hadn't really been used in a good way by Brendan. Klopp knew he was getting a gem of a player though.  ;D

Gini had the same virus before the Bournemouth game so maybe we all need to catch it.

He rolled his ankle so I'm sure he'll be fine, especially as he ran off the pitch.

i hope we figure out some other way to play when he is away. We depend a lot on him and he is not always on his game. Need a Plan B. Maybe with a different midfield setup.
Glass half full: Maybe not having Firmino for a game or two may help us stumble onto this accidentally.
Coz with Plan A, I am fairly confident of coming up short over the rest of the games points wise.

He'll be a massive loss if he's out for an extended period of time. If he's out I'd probably make City heavy favorites for the title. We just don't have anyone who can replace him. Sturridge and Origi are completely useless and will probably be off during the summer anyway. Shaqiri is great but is still a step down in quality. Praying that it's only precautionary and he misses the midweek match and is back next week.

All players who are substituted leave on crutches. It's when they're in a hearse you need to worry.

considering it an ankle injury. It probably better to not have him put a lot of weight on it and be careful for it. No idea how bad it is but they are likely playing it safe
