Agreed, we're moving the ball much better and faster. West Ham are set up very similar to how Man Utd were, so can see why people think it's similar, but we are ten times better. What is up with the pitch though? The same thing was happening on Sunday.

Their set up is the same but we are playing better quicker and fluidly.

Maybe I’m getting carried away as it’s nice we’re playing well but Quansah is starting ahead of Konate for me on form.
Probably not but it’s nice to have such a strong back up.

Puzzled how anyone thinks this is the same as the United match. We are playing at a quicker pace, keeping the pressure on them far more, moving the ball more, and we've had better looks on goal where as a lot of stuff was blocked and slow.

Our intensity is much higher, its not even comperable

We were intense against United but for large stretches we didn’t move the ball forward quicker. I think it could be because Trent was in midfield and the space was limited and there was no width.

Great performance so far I like that we are taking long distance shots as it’s another string to have against bus Parkers.

Elliott has been great MOM that half.

Thank god one of these hit and hopes went in.

Wonder if it is instruction? Has to be I suppose.
it wasn't a hit and hope though

Gomez looks like a new player

It's just good seeing him using his pace, he is so quick up and down the flank, combining well with Dom and Elliot as well.

Dominating, intense half of football from our boys, which is brilliant to see. Shame about the finishing but that goal from Dom is fucking unreal.

Special shout out to Tsimikas who's been brilliant in Robbo's absence and MOTM for me alongside big Dom so far.

Quansah is a player, no doubt. He'll be a permanent fixture in the main squad from now on.

A few more now and then draw Boro in the Semis please.

I love Harvey Elliott.

Don’t tell Funky Gibbons about Kostas playing well - he thinks he’s had a stinker.

Opinions eh? (I agree with yours, btw).

I don't think it is, we've looked like opening them up quite a bit and we've moved the ball much quicker.
agreed, the final ball has been amiss but that aside we've been excellent

Combination of us playing very well and West Ham being quite abject. Have their forwards and midfield tried to press our defense or deep lying midfielders even once?

But we have been good, no doubt about that. Quansah continues to surprise me. Has maturity beyond his years. And plays like an elite center back in terms of technique and vision. An in-form Jones is so crucial to making our midfield tick. Ellliot doing well too.

It's interesting to see how little shots Nunez or Gakpo our getting because of the West Ham low block. Feel like their chances will be limited to the ones that Gakpo missed (should've buried that).

Hopefully we can maintain the energy in second half. The midfield will probably need to be refreshed because both Szobo and Jones did a crazy number of sprints (especially in terms of counter pressing) in the first half.

I like this system. It's getting the best out of them all and we look like we are having fun. Loads of movement, loads of pressing - nobody isolated.

Hope this is the end of the inverted system. We've looked brilliant going back to our basic system.

Isn't it good to see the lino giving offside as it happens?  The first one was tight but the flag went up, game stops, then restarts - no arsing about while waiting for some tosser in a different postcode to find a way to chalk our goal off or bend the lines to allow theirs.  Quite refreshing.

that's the issue I have with the new system, we are always very narrow down the right hand side, would like to switch it up occasionally against some teams

Harvey has to start on Saturday with Mo in the middle. So does Gomez at right back, get Trent into midfield instead of Endo.

On the other hand Darwin looked like he could have been on for both of them. If we were to lose the game we'd be bemoaning the potential goals lost
