It feels sort of like an unexpected signing.  Had really fallen off many people's radar (mine for sure) and now so exciting to remember what a promising player he is.

Will hopefully feel similar when (if?) Thiago returns.

Great to see Kaide Gordon back in the first team. I imagine Konate has a half in him and it'll mostly be the less established ones playing the 90. Not expecting much but should be decent enough. Interesting to see how we come out given they need a result and we don't.

Konate is a risk all the time, he even gets injured during training. He hasn't played that much recently and did look a bit rusty against Palace plus we can't put too much mileage on Gomez.

Not surprised with the side - expect Konate, Elliot, Jones, and Gakpo to play limited minutes. Especially Konate, who I can see playing the first half, and Gomez coming on for the second. The remaining three won't play more than 60, I would imagine.

Great to see Gordon back. Could be an interesting option off the bench when Salah is off at AFCON in January. Too early to tell obviously, hope he has a good game.

David Lynch has said he has played just 200 of a possible 450 minutes, so perhaps it's a bit about him getting more rhythm into his legs.
