Not at all. The commentator laughed. Armstrong said nothing and gave a perfectly rational assessment of the goal. You're going on like he's like Aldo commenting on the 2005 Champions League semi final. Nothing of the sort.

That's not the way it works. It's not like he will never compliment the opposition, it's about ratio. More often than not he's biased towards Madrid and is clearly delighted when they are doing well. When Atletico scored to make it 2-1 he didn't speak for about 30 seconds, he was just silent. Silence can say many words.

Either if he is pro Madrid that doesn't make a difference, for instance I know Phil Thompson's biased towards us, I don't deny it. Armstrong is just unprofessional.

Maybe it's just more apparent in Gerry's case because he knows **** all.

I'm not pro-Madrid or on a wind up. I think Armstrong is saying what he sees in most cases and is nowhere near as biased as a lot of pundits/commentators, a la Neville, Tyldesley, Townsend etc.

Costa was phenomenal today. But his play acting was cringeworthy at times. Solid muscle, but falling over constantly.

Don't remember his comments on the Gabi penalty, so can't comment.

I think rather than me being pro-Madrid, it's rather that people commenting are anti-Madrid. I'm a Barcelona fan, but you have to admire Madrid too. They're good.
