Armstrong suggested "they were as bad as each other" when Pepe went down holding his face after Godin did absolutely nothing to him
He suggested Real were denied a stonewall penalty when the ball struck Gabi's hand which was covering his chest
He constantly berated Costa's playacting when he was either being really fouled or just overplaying a genuine foul, while Madrid routinely dived or feigned injury without comment from him
Those things coupled with his utter despondency when Atletico scored are why he was so obviously biased today.
Godin "butted" Pepe. Didn't warrant the reaction, but there was contact. Booking for both was the right decision.
Costa was phenomenal today. But his play acting was cringeworthy at times. Solid muscle, but falling over constantly.
Don't remember his comments on the Gabi penalty, so can't comment.
I think rather than me being pro-Madrid, it's rather that people commenting are anti-Madrid. I'm a Barcelona fan, but you have to admire Madrid too. They're good.
