actually losing Hendo for 4-6 weeks is not great actually.

It would be great to get players back and then not lose another one to injury.

I think if we can get Ibou, Thiago, Jota and slowly the rest our season can really start and we can have the benefit of the 5 subs and rest a few players.

Playing Bobby, Luis Diaz and Salah every game and majority of the minutes will not do - specially when are playing twice a week.

Great to have a more options on Saturday.

We added Matip and Jones for the last match, Nunez and Jota for tomorrow, and likely Thiago and Arthur for Wednesday/next weekend. Yes it's annoying that it looks like we've lost Henderson for a while but the squad has strengthened just in time for the Champions League starting.

It's predictably ironic that we finally got our wish of being able to use five subs and have barely been able to get three senior players on the bench since.  I remember games towards the end of last season where we had a bench full of senior players, many of them internationals, and some more not even making the matchday squad.

Not sure Trent and Robertson are carrying anything but it sounds like we possibly had a heavy pre season so that we dont have to do much of the fitness thing for the next 3 months. Therefore we are having to protect players as Klopp alluded to.

I imagine we thought we could rotate more players so that they were not having to do 90 minutes but injuries put paid to that. What also hasnt helped is having to integrate new players.

However, at some point the heavy pre-season should pay off.

Bajcetic as the backup #6. I think Jurgen put Arthur on the bench just to get a feel of the game,crowd etc without any intention of putting him in.

I think Bajcetic is the only possible backup to Fabinho at the moment. Think Arthur can play there but he’s not had any pre season. Might be easing Jones in aswell because he’s had his fair share of muscle injuries.

I'd think Millie is the choice if Fab goes down right now, especially against that sower of twats.

it just seems odd to put Jones on the bench the other night and then drop him out completely today - if there's no injury.  hope he isn't hurt of course, that's the last thing we need.

In Klopp’s presser on Friday he didn’t mention any new injuries apart from Hendo. Unless he got injured in training on Friday if they trained after the presser? But hasn’t been mentioned. We’ll end up having to recall Tyler Morton if we get anymore injuries.

No, he just wasn’t mentioned at all. Which is strange since he was on the bench at Newcastle. He got asked about injuries on Friday.

The way we reacted I was expecting a grade 2/3 tear. Looks like we've been lucky. Though 3 weeks is still a lot of games in this crazy season.
