Giants are going to be another shitshow this year. Pretty sure I'll be able to snag decent seats for $50 again.

Haha well I’m certainly hope so I’m in New York for week 4, Redskins @ Giants.

That's the only wait to make it interesting. Otherwise, it's just the Giants getting steamrolled after Q1.

Just been posting about Haskins and Keenum in the fantsasy thread by mistake

I was curious to know if Haskins as their 1st Draft pick would start but the guys in the other thread seem to think the experienced Keenum will be the starter which obviously makes sense.

I've been reading about the Mr Irrelevant draft pick (the very last pick of the draft).  Makes me laugh how much publicity the Mr Irrelevant player and team gets.  So much so teams used to pass their last draft pick so they could get to pick Mr Irrelevant.

KC Chiefs picked Kicker Ryan Succop and he became Mr Irrelevant in 2009

Succop signed a $20m contract extension last year with the Titans. Mr "not so" irrelevant now :)

Rookie Qb normally start around 10 games a year. My guess is Keenum start the season and after NE game Haskins takes over unless the coaches think Haskins is ready day one

I believe the highest passer rating is 154.something.

I mention this because last night schaub apparently went 4 of 14 for 10 yards and an interception for a passer rating of 9.8

That's impressively bad

No idea why I remember it since, as a Bear fan, it is not something to really concern me, but the scale goes from 0 to 158.3.

Episode 1 of Hard Knocks with the Oakland Raiders on Thursday night on SKY Sports Action for those in the UK.

Quote
“I like these guys,” Gruden said of his options. “This Nate Peterman is growing on me. He’s athletic. I know he’s had some nightmare performances in the NFL, but when you watch the film you can see why. It’s not all his fault but he’s got some talent, he’s got some athleticism, he’s got some experience.

“Here’s an opening day starter for the Buffalo Bills last year. I take that very serious. And he’s smart. He’s done a good job, he’s been consistent and I think he’s starting to get his confidence back. And we all need that.”

Going to be car crash television. Can't wait.

Old Cliff played in the first (full) NFL game i watched, that battering of the Redskins in the Superbowl. He should be in the Hall of Fame.

Is it worth subscribing for NFL Game Pass, i see it's £143.99 for the season or 4 instalments of £36, those of us in the UK, I see you get more than live games, like most of the programming from NFL Films?

My mate gets this, and i go round every sunday. So for me it`s a great investment.  ;)

Quite often we`ll have sky on, or the redzone channel and watch either or both of our teams games in the same evening.

And yeah you get the other NFL content.

It works out to £3 a week. & you can't get a pint for that in some places. I see game pass has all games live, including those on SKY, i see all playoff games & super bowl are on the game pass as well, really tempted but not sure what it's like.

It`s really good, basically a streaming service.

I have noticed at the start of seasons there can be teething problems, but we generally will have one game cast to the TV and another game or redzone on a laptop at the same time.

It works better than iplayer & definitely SKYs player which is an abomination.

Does it slow the PC down, were it takes an age to link on to other sites whilst watching, come to think of it, looks like i can watch it on the PS4.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pm3a6B26HFc

Enjoyed that, i suspect it might be better viewing (so far) for a fan of the team than others.

A lot of it does have the sense of set-up for the cameras, not just the stunts (like the horse-riding), but the situations. Such as the situation where Gruden was telling off Abram for his over-enthusiasm in non-contact drills. The whole time Gruden had his back to the camera, i got the feeling everything he said was with a wink. I thought the TE Luke Willson (a victim of Abram's) had a pointing in shouting "try that when we have pads on". Abram actually came across as something of a dick too, especially at dinner with Derek Carr (who was paying for all the rookies). Maybe that`s the attitude a safety needs? Who knows...

I know pre season games aren't the most reliable guide but New England back up QB Stidham looked good, running game good, same with passing game. mind you Detroit were s..  :)

Has anyone been watching pre season games, i know they're mostly used for evaluating players on the edge of making the final roster, as results don't matter, as you've seen it with teams losing every pre season game then winning the SB, but it's still NFL.
