Not the best of games. The Bluenoses could have easily nicked a draw. We ought to kill off games like this. Lucas and Alonso we sloppy with their passing. Babel couldn't exert as much influence as we have expected of him. Skrtel was immense. Kuyt did well and should have scored our second goal. Thank god it's a win and a double over the bluenoses

Nah, even if the lad did spit (and I hope he didn't, because that's classless in anyone's book), nothing any stewards could do about it. The verbals are to be expected though. His own fault for being an inbred.

Yeh, they didn't have any clear chance at goal the entire game.

Problem, was in first half couldn't put away any of our chances. I think Kuyt is poor either in confidence or his technique is really crap.

Second half, seems game plan was to absorb pressure and counter-attack.

1 goal good enough if relaxing win Babel quality 1st half then wouldnt run at players 2nd half which was a let down Hypia and Skrtel solid at the back. lucas wasnt at his best today. Kuyt full of effort again but i feel he plays way to deep.

Solid performance. Dominating first half tapering off to just enough to get the three points. Gerrard was excellent as was the centre-half pairing of Sami and Skrtel. Thought Riise and Kuyt, our two most vilified players in recent times, were both impressive. Only thing I was concerned about was how we let them back into the game a little. In saying that though there was no real end product on thier part and in the end a comfortable win.

What was with Lucas today, he seemed unfit or ill?
