Is that 26 points from a losing position?

Very good result and not a bad performance by any means.  Macca was outstanding.

I couldn't make sense of the subs but they got us over the line so who am I to question them?!  ;D

Bizarre game, we played very very well for the most part but couldn't get our finishing right.

A lot nervier than it should have been given the performance.

Mac and Brad were excellent.

Get in, other than the flukish goal they didn’t offer much. We completely dominated but my nerves were completely shot at the end because we failed to convert our chances, we could have scored five today.

Can't say I enjoyed that. Maybe just me, but was sweating bullets watching that. Although I can't remember them doing much in the second half.
Big result.

2-1!
A well-earned and hard-earned win. We wasted too many chances for our own good. Fortunately it didn't cost us. Have to praise MacAllister. What a player he is! Countless of balls in behind their defence. To the right address. Always calm on the ball, always an option. And of course it was MacAllister who found Salah for the winning goal. Top of the league!

Tense. Was certain that very marginal offside would come back to haunt us. Dreadful refereeing throughout, as we’ve come to expect. Ridiculous yellow cards for nothing and Brighton getting free kicks for falling over.

MacAllister was superb, topped off with an excellent assist.

Great win and just what was needed.

Not convinced Diaz was offside but at least we got the 3 points.

Onto Sheff Utd.

Our game management is driving me bananas lately. Just play a five yard pass and head for the corner!

Lots of good in that game and some average. But beating a bogey team is great at this stage.

Big win against a team who usually cause us issues.  Good yellows from Endo and Gakpo towards the end.

Only worry is how many chances we need to score a goal.  Hopefully put that right against Sheffield Utd on Thursday.

Thank fuck for that. Also, I want to find everyone who keeps shouting shoot at Joe Gomez and kick them in the nads (or the metaphorical nads if they don't have that equipment). He looks so confused in the final third at times and he gives the ball away.

The first game after an international break is never without issues, but at least we have it out of the way now. On to the next. Macca MOtM for me.

Yeah, it's never a good fixture for us.

Home straight now, let's start getting the rest of the lads back.

my nerves are shot to bits. made hard work of that .

was always going to be a tricky game against a side who we usually struggle to beat. Going a goal down made it more difficult but we played well overall.

It should have been a comfortable win. Think Mo had three times the amount of shots as Brighton had.

Anfield sometimes doesn’t help. The nervy atmosphere really translated to the pitch at the end. But I really do think De Zerbi is way too obstinate as a manager. They should have been taken to the cleaners today, instead some will make him out to be a genius.

Weeeyoo, what a relief in the end. We clearly deserved that, but it felt very nervy after the third was disallowed. Couldn't quite finish them off, but that'll do boys. Mac Allister is an absolutely elite midfielder.

Not going to lie to you folks my ass was totally gone, the lads had played quite well overall maybe could do better in the final third but something in my head kept saying they will nick an equaliser. Great win now we can watch them two twats hopefully foul the shit out of each other and draw.

Chuffed with the win; but a memo to all of them except the defenders, Mac, Endo and Harvey, but in particular Mo Salah:

If you’ve got the ball, they can’t score. The last 15 minutes were tortuous - giving them the opportunity to counter constantly.

Let’s just leave some of the decision making shown in those last 5 mins and not discuss it ever again.

Mac was class, 2nd goal was class. Hopefully this lot can take points of both Arsenal and City.

First of all,  PHEEEEEEEW!!!. BRILLIANT RESULT! GET IN!!!

Our inexperience is showing and we look nervous at times and lack killer instinct.  Going forward, we need to be more ruthless. We had a clear counter and I knew we wouldn't score. Come on! We also have to cut out our bad habit of going behind.

Anyway, time to grab some popcorn and enjoy the City-Arsenal game

Yeah take our own nerves away and it probably came across very comfortable. I can't imagine too many City or Arsenal fans were sat there with much hope of an equaliser.

im still unsure what he was trying to do there at 93 minutes. just hold on to the ball. he was solid defensively though as usual.

Between David Coote being an absolute c*nt and Salah wasting a good 71 chances, that should have been way more comfortable than it was. Mac Allister was comfortably the best player on the pitch today, but shout out to Szoboszlai as well who I also thought was excellent and showing signs of his early season form.

As an audition goes, can't say I liked what I saw from this De Zerbi team. Tidy in the middle, but toothless in the final third and the constant shithousery, timewasting and diving is something I could do without.
