Having a nightmare here, got one in the basket and I am getting this message at the checkout.....

Sure you have to register in some way - can't remember I did it last year. As Claire said it would show something in your purchase history

Sorted it now over the phone (after about 30 rings!), was a problem their end with my account not being eligible although it should of been.

First time using the local sale, hopefully get a few more tickets via it as the season goes on.

Would you recommend getting the members card to get them on the local members sale instead?

I got through just before and was told that my mate could collect it with his ID and address - even though it was bought by me and on my credit card. This is different from what others have experienced on here AND he didn't sound sure but did go and check with someone then come back.

So, as usual, it depends on who you speak to!!! 

We cannot be the first where A has logged in and bought for B!! 

But the lad did say that originally it has been printed with MY address on - that would have been fine, I only asked WHO had to collect it!! - but that they had changed it so James could get it! So we are now not sure or confident! Why do they have to make it SO hard.....?! For their staff as well as us. Just crazy.

He plans to go 2moro on his way to work. i will go Sat early if he fails.

Never tried but the 9 quid ones aren't in that sale. I would guess it's a good way of getting tickets though

1 and a bit min wait but 3 together. Compared to last year it was an absolute breeze. Maybe those changes have worked?

Keep trying as people will have some in their basket which they can't buy and after a while the site will release those seats again

Alec, used to be about this time when they would pop back up, so keep refreshing the ticket map when you're in - if it's still listed then they're not all checked out and might come back on!

Also, my bag was searched and tagged; they make you go in a separate queue so if you don't fancy that, don't take a bag!

We were further down in u1 I'm guessing and didn't really see any empty seats, but it's a re occuring theme

GETTING TO ANFIELD

• Plan your route in advance. LFC, Merseytravel and transport operators have been working together to help make matchday travel more convenient for supporters heading to the Stadium. We encourage the use of public transport.

I have asked for a bit more detail on the searches (enhanced or otherwise).

It's all well and good saying there may be enhanced searches but they need to estimate what impact it might have on entry.
For instance the Fam getting in an hour before won't be impacted as the queues will be small then. However if there are enhanced searches and the 15 to 10 minute entrants arrive they need to know what impact this might have.
We need to know whether to amend your routine or not and if so, by how much.
Could say if you normally arrive 10 minutes before you need to arrive 20 minutes before or expect to miss kick off.

Might be worth posting it as a general warning.

The club have said that anyone who didn't collect tickets would have their membership suspended so hopefully they keep to their word.

U9 looked generally better on Saturday and there weren't really any empty seats lower down.   The few tourists stood out a mile though and should have been an easy opportunity for a ticket check but the stewards didn't seem interested.

Yeah, the steward wasn't there in U1 looking for the paper tickets to check - suspect they might be back for Arsenal!

Picked up my tickets for Hoffenheim just then - bar tourists asking the TO for tickets and acting shocked that there wasn't any - it went quick. Only asked for my id and bank card.

What are they checking for exactly when asking to see tickets in the ground?

Last season they were asking to see the ticket and asking them questions, there was a steward with a clipboard filling in forms. I didn't ever get stopped by them so don't know what they ask.

don't walk round with the ticket and I very much doubt they'll stop you, only seen them stop people with the ticket on show or who've looked like they don't know where they're going etc.

Yes they can. Can be a bit of a queue though, I got there about 2.40pm on Saturday and just got to my seat after kick off.
