Decided to stay up for the carnage.

Didn't realise that would consist of wickets, not runs.

NZ won with 3 balls to spare in the end. Wasted that good start but fair play to them for chasing it down. Sets the series up for the finale.

Incredible innings from Taylor.

This is turning out to be an excellent series. Two well-matched sides - on NZ pitches anyway.

Hales is back in the side as Roy is out with a back spasm.

Feels like they've been in New Zealand long enough to play 4 tests already.

It'll be interesting (and meaningful). The home series we had with them a couple of years ago produced some great cricket (including an Adam Lyth century at Leeds :D)

Crikey. Remember following that one from poolside on holiday!

Two Tests to follow I think.

Pretty tough 12 months for the players to be honest. They'll have been in the Southern Hemisphere for the better part of 6 months by the time the tests finish. Then they'll have to play some county cricket before a test series against Pakistan, then a ridiculously long ODI series against Australia before the marathon schedule against India. Think we might tour Sri Lanka before the end of this year as well.

Can’t stay up for this unfortunately. Watched a bit of the opening overs. Noticed Alex Hales fielding. Who’s he replaced in the starting lineup?

Roy - has a back spasm. Good start so far for England!

Another century - series-winning this time - for Bairstow at the top of the order.

This fella can bat anywhere and bat at whatever pace is required. I still think it's daft he's coming in as low as 7 or even 6 in the Test side. Such a waste.

Could he bat at 4 or 5 and still keep in Tests? If they think he can handle that I’d have no qualms movin him up the order a bit. Would that need Root to budge up to 3 though? Either  at, sounded like a great knock last night. 3-2 series win but all our wins were comprehensive.

That match was won by the bowling in the first 10overs...

They kept it incredibly tight which lead to huge pressure on the scoreboard...

Well done Woakes and Wood

Pretty poor 2 day pink ball warm up game for England.

Made early inroads with the ball but then two of their lower order made hundred. Batting we made 310-14 or something ridiculous! Stone man out for 3 twice, Vince failed (shocked!). Lancy’s Liam Livingstone (Triple L) made 88 though and Rooty showed he’s perfectly ready for the Tests by making a nice 50 and out.

Day/Night Test starts in Auckland at 1am UK time. Stokes will play but might not be able to bowl. Kind of hope he doesn’t as apparently that means they’d drop Vince and play another bowler instead.

Drop in pitch, rugby ground, weird boundaries, pink ball, floodlights...150 all out in about 20 overs whoever bats first is my guess!

Superb swing bowling, cant blame the England batsman, they're not use to playing on swinging pitches... Better start the rain dance.
