Phasmophobia. What a laugh this game is.
haha I've watched streamers playing and it's seemed fun and sometimes scary. Really cool concept!

Mate It's superb. I play in VR too and to say I need new crackers after it is an understatement. Quite cheap too.

Anyone tried Breath of the Wild on the PC (using the emulator)? Asking for a friend who is downloading it now because he wants to play it very much.

Giving Enlisted a go. It`s pretty clunky to be honest, and the graphics are definitely not next gen. It has some gameplay promise, but i have the feeling it`s an exercise in drawing micro-transactions.

Posted in the Nintendo thread as well, but they've got a sale on, had a brief look and some decent deals on, I know people in here were asking about Hades, it's on there for £15.74.

Anyone played Avengers single player mode? It's on gamepass so thought I'd download it, but it's like 125 GB so wanted to know if anyone here's played it and is decent at least

Finished the campaign on Hitman 3, enjoyed it so much Im tempted to buy the dlc and the first two games.  An extremely dark sense of humour throughout.  Still plugging away at Doom Eternal, enthusiasm is wearing thin though.  Also bought Res Evil 2 and 3, the former is a masterpiece.

Is that with the high res textures? Think it's about 80gb without. It's an ok brawler which manages to give a few of the heroes a unique feel, especially so as you start to unlock the different trees and specialisations - think a lot of people miss out because they only play the first character when she's got barely any of her skills. The story is a bit weird because it feels a bit rushed in trying to get you into the parts you can (if you want) do as MP so the introductory character doesn't really get the time she needs to develop properly, but it's standard Marvel comic book stuff really. Mainly reminded me of how The Boys parodied it. We've got a few dozen hours out of it playing together (Black Widow and Kate Bishop) but the maps do start to repeat pretty quickly once you're out of the three story lines (Kamala Khan, the two archers, and Black Panther) and the grind to do character cards (to unlock cosmetics) or for XP isn't wonderful past a certain point.

Thanks!

And yeah it's the next gen version, probably why the extra 45 GB

I downloaded Avengers on Friday and had a dabble last night. Playing on the Series X and I must say it looks beautiful.

Just started a the first bit of combat and seems like it could be quite fun.

I've read loads it gets repetitive, but for free, looks like a decent game early doors.

It does get repetitive later on but if you've got to that point then you've had your money's worth and it's on you whether you want to keep up trying to get the cosmic gear with the perfect mix of stats and buffs or whatever. And then there's the grind for upgrading gear, although I think they've said they're revamping that at some point. They could use doing more maps, more variety to enemies too although they're kind of stuck with the whole Saturday morning tv thing of 'it's ok to kill robots cos they don't have any feelings'. I've enjoyed it for what it is all the same. Actually think Kamala Khan is really well done both as a character and for how her skills work. It's quite fun to go giant size and just start punting things across the map. ;D

I downloaded "Hell Let Loose" for the X/S, they have a free ten hours play at the moment. It`s a WW2 military simulator. No HUD, no enemies handily spotted on your mini-map. It reminds me of "Squad" in terms of play and playing roles: you join infantry, recon or armor squads and take a role to help your team, such as engineer, support, medic etc. It`s incredibly immersive, huge maps (Omaha, Utah, Hill 400, Carentan, St.Mere Eglise etc) and I can see getting to competency being a long way off. The better games I`ve been in have been those with your team making good use of VOIP. You can`t run across a field, it`s practically one shot, one kill, so I spent a lot of time in hedgerows. I`m leaning towards getting the full game. I played a game of BFV straight after and that game is so much faster, but a completely different beast. It reminds me of a pretty old PC game where you spawned into barracks and there was a lot of pixel hunting going on, but I can`t recall the name.

but I'm immensely sceptical about the whole thing.

Fucking hell, just make GTA 6 instead of going back and relaunching those three.

8 years now since the last release.

Was two years between GTA and GTA 2, another two years to GTA 3. One year to Vice City, two more to San ANdreas, four to GTA 4 and then five to GTA 5.

It'll be at least 9 years before the next release, maybe 10.

They’re still making an obscene amount of money from V, they’ll be in no rush. I haven’t really bothered with the online stuff, but apparently it makes fuck loads, constantly in the top three for online play.  We’re probably 18 months off an announcement, three years away from the game, minimum.

Micro transactions have really fucked creativity.

I don't get this love for remasters anyway. Yeah, they were great games and both Vice City and San Andreas were the best games at that time. I had tons of  fun with both of them (don't remember too much about GTA III). At the same time, I don't really see the point in playing a 15 year old game again with upgraded graphics that will still look like arse. Stuff like Elite Dangerous (i.e. a classic game brought back to life with modern means) I can understand. The love for remasters? Never...

Same. All great games in their own right, perhaps some of the greatest. I'd prefer it if they were working on GTA6 but it beats just making more shit for GTA5 Online I guess. Remasters have the potential to be enjoyable imo, I know I've played a few that I've liked. It usually boils down to whether enough time has passed for me to forget most of what happens and I can go into it relatively fresh, so that I can almost convince myself I'm playing it for the first time. Admittedly, this may not be the case with the GTAs purely because I played them a lot and I may know them too well to fully enjoy immersing myself in it all again. A lot will also depend on how graphically up to date they'll be, can't see any released images online. Guessing not at the level of GTA5?

It was long rumoured this. Remastered using the unreal engine rather than Rockstars in house engine. I don't think it will look drastically different to the originals, but I think the graphics will be cleaner and maybe some tweaks to the controls, that's about it.

I'll still play them again, they're great games.

I know what you mean regarding the last of us. It's an incredible game but even know I get this apprehension to play it. Despite playing the first multiple times and the second a couple it's like a mental thing. I think it's because you know it's a draining kind of the experience, even more so than the first, you had moments of comfort in the dark times, with this there are very few.
