Last year Liverpool played the best football I've seen since I started supporting the club, despite the fact we won nothing.

2009/10 We got 63 points, got to the SF of the Europa league and scored 61v35 in the PL, Rafa was hounded out despite his previous record

2011/12 We got 52 points, won the LC, lost 2-1 to Chelsea in the FA cup final, in the league beat Arsenal, Chelsea (x2) and drew with City and Utd at home, scored 47v40 in the PL, Dalglish was dumped by FSG despite winning a cup and his previous record

2014/15 We got 62 points, dumped by Villa in the FA semi, poorest season in Europe I can remember but beat City in the league, scored 52v48 in the PL

aarf, aarf, aarf.

Rewatch then the 11 game winning run in the business end of the last season. It`s the same players.

With 1 minor exception of course. Louie something

Every game matters, every single one.

I want players to fight when there's nothing to fight for.

Absolutely, even when we are at our lowest ebb, I'd rather the players show some evidence that they can turn things around. The last two results coupled with losing to a side that have just been relegated is really awful.

Owners have to assess everything to make improvements, not just one or two superficial changes.
Some clubs were always destined for greatness...

I want him back. There, I said it.

Without sounding like a love sick school girl, it felt right with him and it has never felt the same since.

The only reason i want Rodgers gone is if it's for Rafa.

I just absolutely love everything to do with the man.

No.

I was at Villa game in the mid 70's when we were getting beat 5-1 at half time...was a good night too.

Listened to it on the Radio and was in shock.....but never doubted for a moment my team was the greatest in the world....as was proved.

That performance, though, was a shocker. A true shocker. I'm stunned and appalled by the players. Brendan looks heartbroken. It's on him, ultimately, he's responsible for them. But they've let him and us down with that today, more than anything else this season - even the cup.

This is a huge low and the feeling is pretty hopeless but I remain of the view that Rodgers can swing this around. I'm not sure he'll get the chance and it's hard to defend the disgrace of today. I won't slate FSG if they sack him but whomever would come in has to work with a bunch of guys who are capable of that rubbish. I'm gutted as there's a lot of players there I like and respect but how can they defend that? I don't want us to be a Spurs or whoever, new cycle every two years. Unless there's more going on in the dressing room than we know, if I was in charge I'd make a firm statement backing the manager, slating the effort of the players on that day and saying we'll sort it out over summer.

But as it is, we'll have to wait for the end of season review. Whatever happens, that was an absolute shocker today.

Rafa won the CL, FA Cup, Super Cup, Community Shield....and was sacked for less

Ged won the UEFA Cup, two League Cups, FA Cup, Super Cup and Community Shield....and was sacked for less

Kenny won the League Cup....and was sacked for less

All under different regimes too.

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Ultimately it should be the way we/I think. The players should never be able to dictate the position of a manager by not turning up. "If you don't turn up to play your arse off when you're in a Liverpool shirt, you best fuck off because the manager is staying" should be the mantra.

And how is it that we have players not turning up in the first place? That's some mid-table level mentality right there. Things shouldn't come to this situation in the first place.

If the owners think they can fix this any other way, the fine by me. But I don't think they know how to besides getting rid of Rodgers.

But at the same time, it's easier to change the manager than to change the whole squad. it should be the managers job to make sure most of the players are on side with him and want to run through a brick wall for him. We just haven't been seeing since we lost to Arsenal. I would no be surprised at all if he has alienated many of the players with his favouritism.

2. Stoke have always been out bum team, now they're our "no-lube" team.

It's a sad day. For me Rodgers had the team playing as well as any other team last year and for a period this season. However his job is to win games and far too often when we were in important matches we just caved in. The way we rolled over in the last two games was just embarrassing.

I really cannot see any way forward and expect an announcement. All he needed to do was to finish the season reasonably well and then ask for support in transfers. Now I have lost all faith in him and the only solution for me is to change. However the change must be better and must be supported by some real ambition by the owners.

It was the Villa game for me. Pathetic rollover against VIlla at Wembley FFS. Making Delhi look like a 25 yo Steven Gerrard. Similar today making N'Zonzi look like Viera. It's fucking embarrassing that such average players have stomped all over our midfield lately.
I think the same, can't stand him, but if you could have a £1million pound cheque or steve bruces head hollowed out and filled with pound coins which would you have?
