Email from OS Maps...
If the app appears to crash, proceed as follows:
1. Double tap the circular Home button to bring up a list of apps running in the background.
2. Swipe through the list to locate MapFinder.
3. Tap on MapFinder (the picture you can see above the MapFinder icon when in your list of running apps) to bring it back on screen.
If the app is still running in the background this won’t generate a crash report.
If the app is not in the list of running apps, select the grey Settings cog on the home screen for your device. Tap Privacy then Diagnotics & Usage and check whether you have opted to share this data with App Developers. If so, make a note of the date and time for the when the crash occurred, then email Customer Services with this information and what device/what version of iOS is installed so the developers are able to tie a particular crash report to you which they can then look at.
If the app persists in disappearing off screen the files may have corrupted in which case removing and reinstalling the app when there is access to strong, stable Wi-Fi – the important thing is to ensure that if at all possible you back up your route files because if you remove the app they will be deleted from the cloud and you will lose your planned/recorded routes for good.
I have looked in 'Privacy' and I don't have a 'Diagnostics and Usage'!!
When it says at the bottom...'removing and reinstalling the app' does that mean delete it from my iphone but keep it in itunes and then reinstall back onto the iphone or, completely deleting it from the iphone and itunes and then installing it again? I haven't got any routes planned or recorded, but I have purchased around 20 map tiles which I wouldn't want to lose or even pay for again! Cheers
