If there is any truth in this report, it would be a very dumb career move by Sahin ...

This will end up similar to Ibrahim Afellay

Or, the same Afellay who spends 90% of the time on the bench, making occasional appearances for the last 15-20 minutes of games. Not the best career move for a young player who needs match time to continue to develop.

Afellay has to get ahead of Pedro/Villa/Messi, Sahin just needs to get ahead of Khedira and Diarra so I don't see how you can compare the two situations.

In his first 6 months at Barcelona? That's not bad.

Doubt Sahin would be playing as part of the 2 in Jose's system. More likely to fill in for Ozil, as Kaka would likley be shown the door.

Why not? He plays there for Dortmund and Real don't have enough numbers for the "2".

Don't be such a fucking idiot, do you watch Barcelona? Do you even know anything about how Afellay is getting on at Barca, or did you watch the match the other night and immediately assume you know the situation of Afellay, prick.

He sits on the bench 95% of the time, gets on from time to time when their coasting, he is now officially a bit part player when he could of been so much more, just like I think Sahin will be at Real Madrid.

But oh no wait, he came on as a late substitute for Pedro and set up Messi's goal, EVERYTHING IS ALL GOOD!  :tosser

Alonso and Sahin is not a good combination for the ''2'' ... If he goes to Real Madrid, Sahin will end up as Alonso's backup ...

That's all your opinion, I don't see why they wouldn't work. Alonso has played as the defensive minded of a 2 man midfield successfully before so why not again?

Embarrassing reply. He posed a perfectly reasonable reply, and once again you act like you're an authority on everything.

Cringeworthy doesn't come close.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

He has featured in 12 La Liga games since he arrived. Anyway, I'm sure Paddy will take care of this one.

Not a lot to take care of.

He's moved to arguably, the best team ever. Because of the fact he's yet to command his way into the first team, it's apparently a bad decision on his behalf. He's hardly only coming on when they're 'coasting' either, he came on for David Villa, arguably the best striker in the world, in the Copa Del Rey final a goal down.

Think this 'needs playing time to develop' etc. is a bit bollocks as well. He's already 25, he's already a very good player, but isn't going to develop a lot more. He's also pretty much a guaranteed starter for his national team these days, which isn't exactly easy to get into.

I'll probably take the fact that he's said he's delighted with how things have gone at Barca so far as a sign that he's happy and made the correct decision. I know, mental.

In what way was he agressive? He just offered his opinion and asked you to prove yours, where as you just dismissed him whilst telling him to 'go watch both of the players' as if you're above him.

Afellay in 4 months has played almost as many league minutes (414 according to As) as Canales(305) and Pedro León (154) have combined since the start of the season.

I think he will be xabi's partner if true, pretty sure i read somewhere madrid don't think lass and khedia( who isn't anything special) offer enough going forwards. Most games madrid is on the front foot and there no need for an extra defensive midfielder. to be honest most games khedia is playing in the final third anyway as a box to box player but he hasn't got enough in him when it comes to the final third.

I thought madrid was getting valero or parejo anyway.

Wonder if Sahin might go to Turkey? They have the money, and he's chosen Turkey for his national team, hasn't he? Can't really see Dortmund keeping hold of him for more than one season.

No chance he'll go to Turkey.

He hasn't even proved himself on the highest stage yet in the CL, i'm sure he'll love to do that we either his current club or whoever he moves to.

Which, funnily enough is the team they compete for in every competition... You don't counter Barcelona with a midfield of Alonso-Sahin-Oezil, well, not in my opinion.

And you don't build a team around one opponent.....who still wiped the floor with them anyway.
