Not sure Logan counts as a Blockbuster. Would've picked it there myself otherwise. Box Office Mojo and imdb has it at 97m budget. It's only wiki that oddly has it as 97-127m.

Ahhh, don't know - i just saw that it was 97 upwards on the wiki, didn't realise there was other places we needed to check, just figured for the £3m difference you couldn't even get a full Harry Kewell

who put the 100mil figure on the blockbuster?? how did that number come about?? once upon a time in hollywood (90mil) doesn't count as a blockbuster either which sounds insane to me

This is just the standard format for this whole series of movie drafts. The 00s one for example had blockbuster budget over 100m and grossed over 200m. Can't really be changing the rules now.

decades back the studios put more money into a variety of movies, now it's reserved for the epic superhero garbage (yes i know logan is a superhero but that wasn't a superhero movie with all that expensive superhero bells and whistles). interesting to see what does pass as a 'blockbuster' in this decade if OUATIH isn't one

I don't disagree. We probably could have adjusted the numbers a bit more (I wasn't about when it was being discussed), but we're a round in now so it's probably a bit too late.

nah i don't want it changed, just interested how the number came about and even more interested to see what a modern blockbuster is. It's looking like a small pool. i mean even scorcese, scorcese! couldn't get the studios to commit to the irishman. now that counts as a blockbuster but only because of netflix chucking money at it. without netflix that movie wouldn't have gotten made, studios didn't want any of it. a scorcese movie

Its much easier to take an old classic animated movie and making a live action version or just make 100th marvel universe movie with same jokes and storylines as the other 99 films.

However, there are still some pretty decent blockbuster films left.

Actually there aren't many genuinely good blockbusters that are critically acclaimed in this decade.  MI Fallout is one of those though.

It's funny how you presume I don;t watch films. Like I watch a lot of them and have done since I was a kid.
