That cross again. Other players whip it in, but he picks out Firmino with a low pass. Sees things others don’t.

Don't think he picks him out... just players aware of 'nah, stick it back here Trent'. Got players queuing up taking up all sorts. He can mix it up, but he has a bullet ball on him that you've got to enjoy as a forward.

Absolutely ridiculous talent this kid. Taken for granted so much by some but I don’t think I’ve seen such a level headed lad doing the things he’s doing in my lifetime.

Running a game from fullback is mind boggling when you think about it. Credit to his team mates though as they do create space for him to maraud into and switch the play for him to run onto crossfield balls. He’s got the ability to score more goals but he seems genuinely to get as much satisfaction from setting them up. And with those numbers he’s hitting in terms of assists and chances created, all this shoving him in midfield nonsense is simply that - nonsense. Leave him there he’s doing a fantastic job. Long may it continue.

You'd see players be happy on a football field, but this is genuine delight. Amazing. He's living the dream.

It's hard to think of myself as a legend. I'm just a normal lad from Liverpool whose dreams have just come true.

His goal last night reminded me of Carlos Alberto's goal against Italy in the 1970 World Cup. Just runs onto it a smashes it into the opposite corner without missing a stride or taking an extra touch. Wonderful goal by a wonderful footballer.

So many talented kids struggle to handle fame and fortune but Alexander-Arnold has been fortunate to have a loving, supportive family unit around him who have always kept him humble and grounded.

In 2020 he plans to invest a significant chunk of his earnings from a lucrative sponsorship deal with Under Armour into football facilities for the next generation to use on Merseyside.

Don't know what's more amazing, the fact he's tracking to end up in the top 5 all-time for assists in the Premier league or that Downing (59) and Crouch (58) are 20th and 22th overall!
Raúl barely had a kick. The nearest he got to greatness was when he shook Gerrard by the hand.   Times - Mar 10,2009.

Loved the portable Kop singing his song as he was being interviewed. They way he looked over to them with a mixture of pride and almost disbelief that it was him they were singing about. His interview was pretty mature as well, showing he is learning how to handle this stuff. Loved Milner saying they were going to keep pressing him to improve. Not Klopp, not Pep, or the coaches but “we”. That one word tells a story.

Before the pass to him was made I'd said to Paul, Trent could do with one tonight!

When it went in he pointed at me and laughed like wtf!  [emoji23]

Unbelievable talent and there's still ways he can improve as he matures.

A Manc friend of mine is trying to rationalise his love for Trent. All he can come up with is the usual ''He'll soon be off to Barca/Real, he's too good to stay''.

I've made a bet with him that Trent sees out his career with us, and reaches stratospheric legendary status. I expect to collect on the bet.

No, no, no, no!!

Fuck off mancs trying to work out how Southgate builds the England team around him.

He never needs to play for England.

In fact why the fuck would he want to and have all the shit coming his way from thick as fuck fans when he's deployed in his own corner for 90mins.

Leave him be and keep selecting Trippier and Walker or whoever else usually gets played.

And no you can fuck off thinking about playing him in midfield!!

Maybe it is mate I just don't want that tit Southgate being the one to experiment with the idea.

The thought of England fans dissing him for not being the player he is for us, like they did with Barnes and Stevie, just so the hierarchy can say he had to play really pisses off.
