Fuck me he was absolutely colossal today, should be in the discussions when they start talking player of the year nominations
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

As I just said in the post match thread - simply in the form of his life.

Immaculate at the back and has somehow managed to become a huge threat going forward.

Well deserving of the MOTM.

Terrific player having an incredible season. I want to see him round the keeper and roll it in after one of those dribbles, before the end of the season please.

Player of the year nominee for sure.

Brilliant game tonight, he has plenty of running in him, no signs of fatigue there! Liverpool’s Player of the season contender.
For a player to be good enough to play for Liverpool, he must be prepared to run through a brick wall for me then come out fighting on the other side.

You could see they targeted him but he took everything in his stride. He's had a huge task keeping Sterling and Foden quiet which he largely did.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

He was excellent today and was a big part of why we ended up with a draw.

RHS of our defence played well. LHS a lot less so.

Our MotM, shame about that deflection.

Yeah, well on that note ive just seen another angle on dazn's highlight package and was Matip who deflected mahrez's shot at the very end, it wasn't a chip attempt at all Joel blocked it and it looped up and over.

so we'll give him evens on that then.  ;D  Well in lad.

Has started 37 games for LFC for the first time in his 6 years with us

He has been absolutely immense this season, world class, underrated, so dependable.

Up there for our player of the season to be honest, havent see him put much of a foot wrong all season. So glad hes been able to stay fit all season, long may it continue.

What a pass to Mane that lead to the assist for the first goal.
It's like he pressed pause on his joypad, surveyed the options, picked out Mane, prepared to make the pass, ad then pressed play. So quick of mjnd to see that pass and such great technique to hit it first time so quickly and with such power to reach Mane.

Very underrated as a distributor. Should be on almost every pundit's team of the year list.

I don't think anybody, himself included, would have suspected this to be the season where he'd play more games than in any previous season for him at Liverpool. He'd only played 25 games in all competitions in the title winning and behind closed doors season combined. It's been a massive blessing and part of the reason why we're in the situation we are in.

Our player of the season so far?

For me, probably only behind Salah. I think Fabinho has been consistently great again too, I actually thought he was unlucky not to win our POTS last time around but Salah again had a good personal season.

“Ibra did it great, so no reason why he should not play also too, especially with my history of injuries, it also fitted quite good with my situation,” said Matip.

It's feature of Jurgen's signings that he doesn't just sign top players he also signs decent people. There isn't a player in our squad who you could possibly dislike.

Not getting carried away as in the PL there's all types of tests that awaits but he's settled in pretty well pretty quickly.

Could turn out to be the best free signing we've ever made.
Spot on. I think he could be!

Think Matip players UCL final if we get there and Ibra plays FA Cup Final ( he’s played all the rounds).

I think Konate get's CL final start as Vincious Jr  is really quick and he'll need to help Trent out.
