Any goal by John Barnes. Specially the free kicks from the left curling over the keeper and in to the opposite corner. Think John Lukic got one over him.
Don't listen to me. My opinions tend to be wrong. I once said Lucas wasn't good enough for Liverpool.

Chris Lawler vs The Bluenoses after coming back from 2 down to win 3-2! He just ghosted up unnoticed to belt it in at the Kop end.

Michael Tomas v Sunderland 92 cup final, went off me head. Brlliant goal too.

Macmanaman vs Bolton 95.... both, had the best view I ever had at wembley so that sticks. Then how long did we wait for another trophy 5 years?

Gary mac v everton 01, free kick... had to have it in there. That was just pleasure against that lot and we hadn't beat them there for propper years.

Alonso vs AC milan 2005... he missed it.. hand on head... he scored it..... Madness

Favourites in terms of the brilliance:
Aldo's FA Cup semi-final striker after Beardsley and Barnes combo down the left.
Barnes taking the piss out of the entire QPR defence at Anfield.
Robbie's sumptuous strike after backheel nutmeg against Villa.
Stevie's 35 yard blockbuster against United at Anfield.

Favourites in terms of the madness that ensued:
Ruddock's header for the 3-3.
Collymore's winner against Newcastle.
Gary Mac's free-kick against Everton.
Owen's cup final winner.
Stevie v Olympiakos

A life, Jimmy, you know what that is? It's the shit that happens while you're waiting for moments that never come

Gerrard vs. West Ham, will always be my favourite, the best strike I've ever seen from any player.

Also Hyypia's header against Arsenal in the 4-2 CL- game, as good as I've ever seen.

That Barca game, boy we we were good back then.
That Gerrard goal, the ball was still accelerating when it hit the net.
You made me forget myself, I thought I was someone else, someone good.

Kenny hit a first minute swerver against Everton. I think 84 or 85. 3 nil up after about 25 minutes, eventually won 3-2. Kennys was after something like 40 seconds and from huge distance.

Always loved the Fowler goal against Villa in the 90s. The one where he spins Staunton and drives it into the bottom corner. I think its quite unique in its execution and stands out in my mind quite a lot

Four goals stand out for me because of their massive importance for the club as well as their beauty. Stevie's strikes against Olympiacos and West Ham, Luis 'ju beauty' Garcia vs Juventus and Kenny's one at Silent Bridg to win the league.
It's just sex and violence, melody and silence.

Fowler's 2nd vs Aston Villa in the FA Cup Semi in 1996.

The chest down, the laziness of the volley meant it looked like slow-motion - and then it pings off the back post with Bosnich miles away...plus that was the goal that basically got us in the final and so the celebrations were unreal.

Loved Stevie G's goal against the Bitters in 2009 - never seen Stevie celebrate with as much venom before.

Fairclough 1977 versus St Etienne. I was 10 at the time and was wearing a big old spiraly headphones when the commentator said it could be Liverpools last 10 minutes in Europe. Kennedy punt to Fairclough who buries it and I end up with the headphones wrapped around having been twatted in the eye by the connector!!!

So many fantastic goals in this thread. Cheers to whoever first posted that Berger goal a few pages back. That was beautiful to watch. Only thing I can think to add to this thread is my favourite free kick- Aurelio v Chelsea!

Smicer v A.C Milan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNzyATFdAUE

There have been better goals, no doubt. But this is mine and I never really rated Vladi much. When we got the first back I don't remember celebrating with my mates, I was just happy we'd made the scoreline look a little more respectable - I never thought we could get back into it.

Then Smicer hits that and my attitude changes from defeatist to "we're gonna win this" in seconds.

A great goal on an even greater night ... I'll never forget it.

Owen in the Cup Final to win it is my favourite goal of all time.

Paddy through ball. Gets shifted on to his left peg. Only one gap in the whole of the fucking net that Seaman won't be able to reach. Where does he put it?

Doesn't have to be the best or even the most significant goal scored by an LFC player, but if you could pick one goal to relive, what would it be?

If I could pick the ones to relive then they have to be the ones I celebrated most which all came in the Champions League as you may presume:

1. Smicer vs AC Milan
I celebrated the 1st and 3rd goals like a madman but Smicer's was the one where I just lost it because it was the point where I truly began to believe we could not just equalise but win the European Cup.

2. Kuyt penalty vs Chelsea 2007
Penalty shootout in a European Cup semi-final with the possibility of becoming European Champions for the 2nd time in 3 years on the horizon. I don't think I need to explain exactly how much I celebrated that goal.

3. Riise vs Barcelona
I think it's safe to say Barca were many people's favorites for the CL that year and to be honest, even though I always want us to face the strongest teams possible in Europe, I was a nervous wreck for an entire week leading up to that match. I was literally in fear of what Xavi + Ronaldinho + Eto' would/could do to us so when Bellamy hit it back to Riise and he smashes it in with his RIGHT foot I absolutely lost it. I just screamed for an entire hour it seemed. Went to school the next day without my voice but with one hell of a smile!

In terms of how mental I went has to be Benayoun Fulham away when we were chasing the league. It's such a bittersweet memory but that was the moment I thought I'd see the first league title in my lifetime. My little brother actually fainted.

Why should the team believe in finishing fourth when we can't believe in them.
