Have a look through these. On another tripadvisor, someone said if it is late at night you haven't pre booked you'll just get ripped off

https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attractions-g295392-Activities-c59-t182-Varna_Varna_Province.html

Cheers Rob but also pricier. I guess loveholidays isn't a rip off after all.

Off to Cuba for a couple of weeks in November.

Route is Havana-Vinales-Trinidad-Cienfuegos-Jibacoa

Let me know if you have any recommendations for things to do/see/eat/drink in any other these places.

Yeah but for £13 you could drink from 9am to 2am and easily make it up, if it’s shite.

Just back from a stag do in Berlin. Caught a Herta match at the old Olympic stadium and in between a morning hangover recovery did a few of the sights (Brandenburg Gate, Berlin wall and Checkpoint Charlie). Weather was glorious. Lots of building work going on right now. Lovely beer.

Will be returning as soon as I can for maybe a less alcohol filled break

Just back from a very chilled 10 days in Miami Beach. Always a great place to go, I do need to go on a diet now after far too many burgers.

Next time I go, I am not flying direct. BA Cabin Crew are always lovely, but the plane was full of the kind of people who go looking for fights and give Brits abroad a bad name.

Where did you fly from? We've done Manchester to Orlando 3 times with Virgin and never had any bother

Flew from Heathrow, I’m in London so it makes sense.

Yes I am from the generation that remembers when flying was an expensive and exotic experience, but I am no fan of being kicked for 9 hours by a kid whose parents refuse to do anything about it, or indeed people who show no consideration for their fellow passengers.

Serious question, anyone know of any places where you can get genuinely cheap late deals on holidays, flights etc. I don't mind whether its packages or group tours or just flights and accommodation separately

I'm finding it impossible to book in advance due to not being able to free up time very far ahead, but I desperately need to get away somewhere before I implode.

I went a few years ago now and did a ghost walk thing, the fella doing it was a tall well spoken, maybe actor, with a stove pipe hat and a cape, it was a good laugh. It was only a £5 and he is at the bottom end of the shambles and will be hard to miss as he is very tall and distinctive. Also, did the river cruise which was pretty good.

PM me with anything you would like tips on. I live in Hong Kong.

If the first time in Japan it is best to stick to the obvious Tokyo / Kyoto / Osaka itineraries. If your timing works I would suggest trying to fit a few other places into the trip.

1) Day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima island
2) Nara - day trip from Kyoto or Osaka (very close by)
3) Kinosaki onsen - overnight stay from Kyoto if you want a real Japanese onsen town experience. Also a few really cool beach towns nearby
4) Hakone - overnight stay from Tokyo.

Restaurant research vitally important as well, although it’s hard to have a bad meal in Japan. Wagyu / Kobe steak is probably the best thing you will ever eat. Enjoy your trip. Japan is a truly amazing place.

Not a huge one but taking my ol man to Edinburgh for his bday in a few weeks.

Got some ideas and to be honest it's not gonna be hard finding stuff he likes: old places, good boozers, history, ghost stuff

But any must-do ideas for a fella in his 70s and his nice son who'll be drinking like fuck, toss em in :)

Had our honeymoon earlier in the year in Jamaica for a week and finished it in New York. 30 degrees is Jamaica followed by -2 in NY was the only downside to a brilliant holiday. Both places were great.

Back from a week in Malta last week, very nice spot with good Italian food everywhere.

Good point, but bit too civilised.
Iˋm thinking land somewhere, take a ride to where there are no towns, enjoy sunrise over endless dunes. In truth, though Africa seems like the place to be, Middle Eastern folks have their ´weekend in the desert´ things locked down - and it may be easier to find a well organised package there.

Sudan is great. Pyramids galore and super friendly people. Obviously Khartoum is a bit unstable at the moment, but I'd still go over there.

If it's big mad dunes you're after, then Namibia.

If it's just the solitude and endless nothing, then try the Danakil Depression.

We stayed in the Student hotel. It's just on the outside of the centre by the river amstel, about a 15 minute walk to the Heineken experience. Think its like the 4th metro stop from central.

I've been through the Sahara in Tunisia, was a decent couple of days, saw the salt lakes, where they filmed Star Wars, and of course mirages and sand dunes galore.
