He got caught by VVD on the head.

He was slowing the game down and loved the needle from Robbo.

He barely got touched by VVD, there was nothing in it. He didn't slow the game down, he stopped the game because the ref has to stop it for head injuries. Pure shithouse, especially after Mo actually had a head injury.

If I was Vardy, I would be delighted to have this chance to affect the league title. Hope he scores a hat trick!

Not only that, they can make seventh and Europe (presuming Abu Dhabi beat Watford in the Cup Final) if they win both their remaining games cos we’ll beat Wolves and the Bitters have already blown it.

Most of the other fans complaining about Fabinho diving for the free kick. However he was being fouled and the referee should not have to wait until the player goes down.

He wasn't being fouled. If that's a foul then football is no longer a contact sport. Fabinho was being 'cute' and more power to him.

I bet he was never even shortlisted! ;D

We've won it twice in a row now, I bet we make it three times next season.

To be fair to Vidic, I think he lost out to Giggs that year where he played about 4 games  :lmao

If I remember correctly Gerrard was robbed that year. The players must have been under the impression it was a lifetime achievement award, it seemed unfair that Good Guy Giggs had never won it.

You're joking aren't you? He used to be a bitter. Did you see his celebrations the other day?

Thing is, despite 40 goals for them, they don’t consider him a legend and actually disliked him whilst he was there.
Something to do with blaming him for blowing a double  ;)

Think Giggs scored one goal that season but it was at West Ham around about time voting gets discussed. “But he’s had a great career” seemed to be the justification.

Lot of comments about Sky commentary.

No reason for any LFC fan to watch the Reds on that shower of sh%te if they have access to NBCSN.

And if they don't have access, they should make the effort.

As far as I can tell, NBC have no agenda, and respect and like Liverpool. We are, after all, pure box office.

I watch Sky BTsport etc on my TV but run the comentary from LFCtv on my laptop!
United used to win titles on easy street, time for us to take over that real estate

Speaking of pundits and crap commentary- on Sky Sports last night Carra when Mo was injured Carra was talking about a clash of heads with a team mate "away at Arsenal" when he staggered through to half time.

Now unless there was also an incident at Arsenal, I'm pretty sure he was talking about the Spurs game when he clashed heads with Skrtel. It was a game we lost 4-1 or so, Adebayor scored I remember.

So either Carra is stupid, or he did indeed get a brain  injury!

One of the rare times this year where we weren’t good at all but got away with it.  To be expected after the Barca game that we would be suffering physically.  Thankfully as noted in the pre-game teams with nothing left to play for concede at a higher than normal rate.  Not sure what we’ll have left for Tuesday.

Also good to know you the rules have changed to where you can kick an opponent in the head in your own box and it’s no longer a foul.......

Carra clashed heads with Skrtel at Spurs in August 2009, he went off at Arsenal in April 2011. I remember him coming over to the away end after Kuyt equalised with the final kick of the game.

On the subject of last night the fella behind me said after Rondon made it 2-2, imagine if City lost to Leicester and the score remains the game. Was literally all I could think of until Divock popped up with the winner.

All I can say is that I'm proud of the team.

What a transformation of character, belief and determination Klopp has carried out. A few year ago, at 2-2 that's how another season would have fizzled out in a damp squib of an anti climax. With Salah off, our back against the wall and Newcastle with 23 men behind the ball, it was looking grim.

What a way to drag ourselves to victory. Some say Fabinho dived for the free kick. Frankly, I'm not arsed. We've been far too nice for far too long and it's about time we used a few tricks of the trade that we keep getting shit on with by other teams.

Now, it's all set up perfectly for Brendan's ego. A chance to make himself a legend at LFC, a chance to deliver the title he could and probably should have delivered as manager. I still have City has huge favourites for that game, but at least we made City need the win, we have stuck to our task, and time after time, under huge pressure have found results, somehow.

We are a class act, and an outstanding team. There has to be some reward for this season, and I prostrate myself at the feet of footballing Gods to make it so.

One more game, three more points and I'll just cross everything that it will be enough.

In my working life, I visit hospitals - many hospitals - around the country and still go to one in Liverpool that used to be run by nuns, Lourdes Hospital as it used to be called and well remember that time we were in the long-running FA cup drama with Everton and one of the staff asked me if I'd like to attend a prayer meeting where they would offer prayers for Liverpool's victory!  One of them said she'd be giving prayers to keep Ray Houghton sober!

The last time I was in there, Raheem Stirling was standing behind me waiting to go to the X-ray department and the porter escorting him asked him if the rumours about him leaving were true and he told him no, he could be assured he would be staying with us.  This was a fortnight before he announced he was going to Manchester City!

Someone should ask him about his two awful challenges on Salah.  Small-time from Ritchie.

Ritchie on Fabinho, GIF... And constant challenges on Salah too, the whooollleee game. Uncarded.

And pardon me for the next image below is not in this game, but Barcelona too. Uncarded. Busquets on Fabinho.

I have come to the conclusion, I don't give a shit anymore if our players resort to shithousery IF there's no protection on them.

Gerrard would remember tackles on his teammates, let alone him. I'd like a couple of Gerrard crunchers early in our big games next season from someone.
