Messi, Neymar, Suarez, Iniesta.

Scary.

They have Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay for them upfront. Gonna be a force next season.

Kind of sad to see him go...

In the four years he was great for us a proper menace but in the last season he was the best player in the league by far... Always had the x factor and gave 100% every game I'll miss him but I am glad that I can say he played for us and especially the last season and the beautiful goals will stick in my mind forever... The title would have been a great ending

Thank you Luis..

Now its up to you Brendan to turn the fee into replacements...

Thanks for the goals Luis and for giving us a few seasons at your peak. It's funny, loads of folk work hard in the UK, just so that they can retire to Spain. Best of luck in the twilight years of your career. :wave

Can only echo this. I'm sure the club were happy to facilitate the move once the ban was announced. Part of me is glad to see him go, we can do without another season of media spotlight on him and personal abuse from every away stand.

Thanks to Luis for some really fantastic memories and some of the best goals I have ever seen, he gave everything in a red shirt and I'll always remember his time here fondly. Good luck to him at Camp Nou it'll certainly be very exciting to see him team up with Messi, Neymar and Iniesta - fantasy football!

People turning to drink over this would be doing a massive disservice to Daniel Sturridge, a striker who also got over 20 goals in the league last season despite missing two months of it through injury.

Suarez was brilliant. Unreal at times. He's gone. He didn't want to be here anymore, so we move on and get someone who does.

You have to wonder what the English press is going to complain about now? Literally pages and pages of nothing to write about ... ;)

That's what makes me laugh, they go on about it being the best league in the world, then instead of appreciating a talent like Suarez, they write negative shit whenever they can

I'm well aware he didn't help himself half the time, and they did vote him as player of the year last season, but you still sense that was through gritted teeth.
Didi Hamann

In the corridors and changing rooms of Anfield I met many people - the great, the talented, the legendary.  I know that I only met one genius.  He was a small, smiling man with a neatly clipped beard.  His name was Rafael Benitez.

If the fee is £75 million then I am okay with that.

If it is the £64 million being reported on Sky then quite frankly I am unhappy with that.

That £10 million makes a difference because as a supporter it makes me feel that the club had been shortchanged due to his is indiscretions during the World Cup. That makes me pretty angry with Suarez to be honest. Also, all that Arsenal funny business last year left a very bad taste in the mouth. I'm sure these ill feelings are going to start bubbling to the surface on this forum in the next few days.

But remember we can't really take the moral high ground. It's not as if Liverpool always conduct themselves with Grace when trying to sign players from other clubs. It is a dog eat dog world it seems when it comes to football.

You touched my heart you touched my soul.
You changed my life and all my goals.
And love is blind and that I knew when,
My heart was blinded by you.

I am a dreamer and when I wake,
You can't break my spirit - it's my dreams you take.
And as you move on, remember me,
Remember us and all we used to be
I've seen you cry, I've seen you smile.

Newspaper sales are going to take a hell of a beating without their favourite bad boy to write shite about.  For a foreign player his drive and determination to win we're what set him apart for me.  The difference between Suarez and Johnson after the 3-3 with Crystal Palace tell you all you need to know about the man.  One was inconsolable that we'd blown the league and the other one walked off looking like he wasn't that fussed.  That is what will be hard to replace for me as well as the goals and assists.

He didn't want to be here anymore, so we move on and get someone who does.

Don't think that's strictly true. Had Barca not bid and matched the leased clause, he wouldn't of gone. He was more than happy here last season.

And we're going to have to sign of couple if very good players to make up for his loss in the team. And, ideally, they need to be players who are starting to approach their prime.

when alonso left when we'd just finished second i cried. i knew there was dark times ahead and the money wasn't going to be reinvested. 5 years on our best player leaves and i feel nowhere near the emotion i felt back then. we've lost suarez but we'll cope as long as we buy the sort of characters rodgers wants.

Just feels like it ticks all the boxes for a sale, unlike last year.

It's a good price
It's not to a direct rival
It's not at the end of the transfer window
It's after helping us to success
He's at the right age so that his value will never get any higher
We have owners that are happy to reinvest
It's understandable that it's a move he'd want to make
He can't play for 3 months anyway

I wish him well and thank him. He deserves an excellent reception if and when he turns out at Anfield again.

Spot on ,agree with all of that.  Sad to see him go, he's given us some great memories and helped to make us dream again.  Fortunately the dream is still going!  Upwards and onwards.  Thanks for the memories Luis, I will always remember you fondly!

If it is the £64 million being reported on Sky then quite frankly I am unhappy with that.

My sentiments are - Don`t believe a word Sky says mate. It may well be £64m but I wouldn`t believe until either the club or a trusted source close to the club confirms the fee.

Not for me. The manner of him leaving was only slightly better than Owen and Torres. The straw that broke the camel's back was when he did not apologise to the club after the biting incident. Shows that he was very clearly angling for a move.

Thanks for the memories. You missed a chance to be a club legend. Liverpool will move on to bigger things.

Good bye and good riddance.

Shame he never got to experience a European Cup night at Anfield.  Love you, you crazy nutjob.

I hope we draw them in the knock-outs or something. He comes back to Anfield, gets to see the contrast of what Liverpool support means, as well as getting their asses handed to them.
