Pity about Diogo. It's been a crap season for him injury wise.

If Ashley Young is going to be starting for them we've got to target him for the entirety of the game, he is one of the worst players in this entire league, accident waiting to happen for them

This.

He used to play for Manchester United.

He could bring a lightsabre on and chop the entire Liverpool team down and still only get a talking to with a booking on 93 minutes.

They both went in high, that's factually correct, both tried to play the ball at height.  Doku with his foot, Mac Allister with his chest.

Or he could foul Diaz twice and get sent off like he did earlier in the season

This is the one to win. Regardless of everything else I just want to always beat the Blues. First game I look for when the fixtures are released.

They'll up their game and have had a confidence boosting win against their fellow point reduction team but these Reds can get at these and finish them.

Win is all that matters. Goal difference is out the window after Chelsea shit the bed last night so just beat Everton and go from there.

0-3 Liverpool.

Not often easy there but got a feeling we might win pretty comfortably tonight. And if we're 2 up late on keep pushing, not recklessly but with a bit more intensity than at Fulham, beating City's GD could end up huge.

There is optimism and then there is thinking we will be that comfortable we can start concentrating on banging in as many goals as possible for goal difference  ;D

They'll have 11 players plus the ref behind the ball for 90 minutes. Any players that are new to this fixture need to be reminded just how rabid these c*nts are and can be. Just show them how this lot celebrated a 0-0 in the 18/19 season like they'd won the league.

We best not start Endo tonight when he just isn’t needed. That rabble will park the bus and play hoofball completely bypassing the midfield, so we need more attacking threats in the box to break through.

My dad is one of six children and both his parents were blues and all his siblings are blues.  He chose to be a red as a young kid and nobody in our family seems to know why - probably just childish contrarianism and wanting to be unique in a big household.  Based on his age he'd have chosen allegiance whilst Liverpool were in the second division just before or around about the time that Shankly took over.

My brother and I were brought up reds and both my kids are reds.  There but for the grace of God...
I see. Thanks for sharing, thaddeus. Lovely story, that.  :)  It's good to be a Red though.

I'd return Szoboszlai to the side hopefully bringing more threat than he's offered recently. Mac Allister obviously then not really sure who. We'd probably be just as well playing Endo IMO, Jones and Elliott not looking great themselves recently.

Very relaxed about tonight. For me the season was basically on life support after Atalanta in the first leg, then killed by Palace at home. This is the last game I feel I'll have much investment in as the chances of both of the other two dropping enough points/us winning all of them is very unlikely IMO. It'd be pretty fitting to be officially ended tonight against the worst Everton side in probably 70 odd years, but it really shouldn't, obviously. A draw feels somewhat expected to me whilst defeat would obviously be humiliating. We should win though, not expecting Calvert Lewin to get much involvement if he starts, and if they have to play Chermiti I'd be amazed if he won a single duel against Van Dijk. It'll surely come down to whether we put the ball in the net, I feel we'll keep a clean sheet surprisingly.

Thanks for the OP Sheer.

Really hope we can build on that second half performance against Fulham. Get ahead early and ideally get a second to give ourselves vital breathing space. But any kind of win is all that matters.

Sadly, given it's their cup final, I fully expect this shower of shite to end our season following on from their Manc brethren. It'll be a hard-fought 0-0.

Obviously really hope I'm wrong but right now, feel it's better to get the disappointment out of the way and hope to be surprised rather than vice versa.

Thanks for that Sheer, appreciated.
Not much chatter either given that everyone is distracted by a potential new manager. Who I must add is younger than Dyche, smarter than Dyche and indeed baldier than Dyche.
This'll be nothing but tough with a 1-2 win to the Reds.
Who'd like to see Jurgen give it the big one to say ta-ra to Goodison forever.

I'd take any kind of win right now, but I'm starting to convince myself that it'll be 0-2. Control the opening 10, score between 10-20, see out a crazy 5-10 mins and then score again before half-time. They'll shake on that as they wont want a kicking ahead of the weekend when they can make their position safe.

Wouldn't that be nice? Especially if Mo can bring his shooting boots and get a goal.

Apart from our tendency to draw there, the fact it will be a bear pit, them treating it as a World Cup final, which means the most intensity they've shown all season, Dycheball, refs allowing them to boot the shit out of us, and the fact we travel to London with just two days of a break against a team that's had a week off, I'm feeling confident  :D

They'll put everything into this, of course, but I would expect them to be seriously gassed by the 65-70 minute mark.

We have won our last two.

We played well versus Fulham.

The Atalanta win isn't hugely relevant given it was the equivalent of winning a second half 1-0 when 0-3 down at HT, but I agree with your point. We were decent at Fulham, should have won more comfortably and we also created enough chances to have won the Palace game. Not creating enough chances is not something I can accuse us of, it's sticking enough in the net.
